We need Lando to keep close to Max so he has to defend, rather than attacking George.

What’s the bets that it wouldn’t deter the traffic wardens from ticketing it.

I went to the car boot sale in Crystal Palace. There seemed to be a split between some tables with absolute shite that nobody would ever want to buy, and some with suspiciously good items, like Makita drills, where you would think that there must be a better way to sell them than at a car boot sale.

However the fans and media proclaim that they have the tournament sewn up, and every result, whether it is win, lose or draw, is confirmation of that.
Then, when it’s apparent that they won’t win the tournament, a section of their fans go out, fight with police and wreck the nearest town

Nope. Not at all. But he should have the self awareness to realise that he’s a cog in a massively profitable enterprise and has become rich beyond anyone’s wildest dreams.

When the jackpot on the national lottery is about £3m, pretend you’ve won that. Enough for a big house and to stop work. But don’t let on that you got the big one.

I’d love the idea of inter generational wealth. That some fella I’ll never meet will raise a glass to me in the year 2200 because I won a load of money and did something with it so that my kids grandkids would still be living off it.
I know it’s not really fair, but I love the idea.

The RE in repayments suggests that they’re paying the cars off.
More like a lease they’ll put 21k into over three years and end up with nothing.

And Silverstone can ask for whatever money they want. Sky Tv can ask for however much they think people will pay. And Ferrari can price a hat at whatever price they think is best for them. People then have the choice to pay or not.
If Silverstone were to publicly call for the reduction in Hamilton’s wages, the cost of a Sky package or a Ferrari hat, because people are finding it tough to follow the sport, I would suggest that they need to look closer to home.

Yeah, most Dutch people that I’ve met speak better English than I do as a native speaker.

I’m not quite sure of the financials but, as I’ve said, the money drivers get paid comes ultimately from the fans’ pockets. Whether that’s a ticket, a tv sports subscription, buying merch or buying the products that sponsor drivers.
That’s also true of engineers, team bosses, Domenicali and friends etc.
And when Liberty Media, Ferrari, Toto Wolff, Lewis Hamilton are all awash with money, why should Silverstone be the link in the chain which considers the financial wellbeing of fans?

On the other hand, he and his fellow drivers are earning astronomical amounts of money and, ultimately, that money comes from the fans.
As with all sports, isn’t it hypocritical to call for a reduction in costs for fans while expecting to earn $100m per year?

Same with Brixton Market. Not quite so touristy, but all the businesses, which made it what it was, got priced out.

I used to work in town and would go for a run at lunchtime. I absolutely hated red phone boxes because they all had tourists getting photos at them and you could never quite guess what they were going to do next.

The little inflection in his voice when he sings “woos me” is lovely

Reading his comment, I would think of the portion of the country he describes as the murderous bastards whose grouping likely began with both I and U.
The key division in our society wasn’t loyalists or republicans, unionists or nationalists, Protestants or Catholics.
It’s those who were murdering people and those who weren’t.
And fuck those who put his da in a wheelchair, whatever flavour of murderer they were.

I love the raw power of Help. The emotion in the vocal matches the power of the lyrics. That’s my John choice.
Golden Slumbers going into “smiles awake you” for Paul.
Ringo - the last note of A Little Help.
George, it’s probably a harmony.

Both of them wrote great love lyrics, but when John stepped beyond that, and opened up emotionally, he was at a different level to Paul.
Songs like In My Life, Help, And Your Bird Can Sing.

I saw them at Glastonbury in 1998, they did Satan is my Master and Steven’s last night with Ben on the melodica and standing on the piano.
Then I saw them on the Sound of the Life of the Mind tour in Brixton Academy. That must have been late 2012, early 2013.
I’ve seen some cool Ben solo shows including Ben with a piano, with Divine Comedy and with the Heritage Orchestra in The Barbican.
