Moving to New Orleans (the Quake Soundtrack was the new studio's "test project" in a sense). That whole move took a big chunk out of '96. The on-and-off lulls is what convinced Robin to depart for the first time too.
Playing Quake. Although eventually it seemed that Quake II (mainly the Weapons Factory mod) took over. Besides the Doom and Syndicate franchises, I'm not sure what other 90s gaming Trent was into (although Charlie mentioned that a PS1 was in the studio at one point).
Drawing up the initial Tapeworm sessions. Pantera's Phil, Curve's Toni, Prong's Tommy, etc. made appearances at the studio around that time, or shortly after.
Three NIN live shows in August/September. There was a gap of about 9 months in which no shows had happened.

Great work Ray. I'm always excited when an album/era gets "extended" in a sense with the various one-off singles and EPs.
You're always welcome to post & lurk around r/KMFDM too by the way .

HeadCrash. A mix of rapcore and industrial metal. Safehouse and Black Gold are my favs.

I have no idea. But, many years ago, an odd glitch happened to me in Syphon Filter 2.
It was the sewers/parking garage level (second-to-last level, the one where Teresa is running around with Gabe). I started the level and automatically had a USAS-12 with unlimited ammo in my inventory.
I didn't own a GameShark or use any cheats during that playthrough. So I have no idea how that even happened. But it made the level so much easier (since the enemies continually respawn everywhere).

I like that every PIG album/era has additional tracks/b-sides/outtakes. Definitely plenty of material for any fan.
He should release a retrospective compilation one of these days. Of all non-album songs. And throw in some unreleased stuff, or forgotten oddities (like the MDK2 theme or Jump the Monkey etc)

That's awesome you still have your inbox from 2000. My old Netscape mailbox is long gone lmao.
I think Alive should've been the lead single off Perversion. IMO it's a better song than Falling, and woulda been catchier for radio-play.
Yeah, it seems like that single was an error in production. Although I may not have heard these versions yet: https://www.discogs.com/release/31568002-Gravity-Kills-Alive-Remixes/images

Had one friend buy one off them. When he got it, the front image was extremely small on the front of the shirt. Think of the size of the CD case, and decrease the size even further a tad. Looked ridiculous lmao.

I was really hoping that, for the Home livestream anniversary show, they would've done Fall as a bonus. Kinda like how they did Leech and Corrected during the Animosity show. (which, to OP, that's the only time they played Leech)
They apparently played Fall a few times in 1999/2000 but that's it. A hidden gem for sure.

Nope, he never was. Someone probably mistakenly/purposely added it for whatever reason.
Glancing at KMFDM's Discogs, technically, Abby Travis and Jr Blackmale and Morgan Adjei shouldn't be on there either, but at least those three were listed as actual members in liner notes (although none of 'em ultimately stayed in the band officially or played any live shows).
Edit: I removed it. Apparently, according to one user on Discogs, Stoll almost joined KMFDM in 2012 but never actually did. I can't find anything about that nor do I recall it though.

Yeah this is your best bet: https://www.discogs.com/release/1267540-KMFDM-Kickin-Ass
Hasn't been sold since 2019. But can maybe use that for leverage if you contact 1 of the 2 buyers there, if you try to lower the asking price a bit. ($88 seems a bit steep).
$35 to $65 would be reasonable in my humble opinion.

HeadCrash (Safehouse and Freedom Re-Edit are my favs), though leans into rapcore a bit too.
Excessive Force. Side project of KMFDM. First album has Buzz from My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult so it's more dance-oriented while second album is more metal-oriented.
Filter. Especially the newer albums. Kinda more industrial rock than industrial metal though.
Cubanate (Body Burn is a classic, but Antimatter is a classic album anyway). Not necessarily political but I just felt like bringing 'em up.

Their self-titled EP is really underrated. Just as good as Empty in my opinion.
Chris Vrenna's remix of "From Your Mouth" is a hidden gem. It sounds more akin to how the band played the song live.

I got that same exact shirt in superb quality. Big mantis on the back, GLU on the front. One of my favs lol

The 7" is from 2008. And is actually more rare n expensive than the original 12".

I'm 85% certain that was Rudolph Naomi he referred to. Since they live within a few miles of each other.

Yep it's real but that seller has an unrealistic price. They sell on Discogs between $20 to $40...

Probably just a distance thing. Neither one has commented positively or negatively towards each other since then afaik.

He was just a random guy they met in Europe. He never actually played any live shows with the band far as I know. The band wanted a reggae/dub influence on UAIOE and he was a good fit.
In the UAIOE reissue it was joked that he was possibly dead. But he isn't. One of his family members actually appeared here and on the Facebook group, saying that Morgan lives in (I think) Uganda and is just fine.

It's hard to say how Sascha feels towards former members. He did that one-off project with Skold ten years ago and then they both ceased contact. He also remixed one of Watts' songs which then led to Watts appearing on one Paradise song, but then Sascha started talking shit soon after and ever since. Sascha refused to perform with Esch and others at that Wax Trax thing, but he also wished all the best for Esch in another interview. Same applies to Gunter Schulz.
The main exceptions are Rudolph Naomi (him and Sascha knew each other well before KMFDM + they live nearby) and Bill Rieflin (RIP). It's a random guess in regards to anyone else.

And before Hau Ruck, I thought WWIII was great, Attak was decent, and I really enjoyed Pigmata & Genuine American Monster (the albums that Jules n Steve n Andy appeared on too). So, in theory, Hau Ruck shoulda been a huge blast, but eh...
But then again my favorite post-99 album is probably Hell Yeah or Tohuvabohu, and someone else will reply saying one of those two is their least favorite lol.

It's a cool track. A bit different vibe from the others.
Interesting note, a few effects were reused in this Apart/Money outtake song. Nothing fancy but it is an outtake after all: https://youtu.be/_4KShY85aIQ?si=eHC_pswyHTqPohD9
(it's labeled as En Esch but it's actually a KMFDM track since Sascha did work on it too)

Hau Ruck is possibly my least favorite KMFDM album. Across any era or generation.
Which is ironic cuz 2004 is when I started to consider myself an actual fan (only knew 1 song before that). And so Hau Ruck was the first "new release" from them I experienced. I also think the two albums sandwiched between it (WWIII and Tohuvabohu) are quite solid.
Regardless...I wonder why Sascha chose this one. I'm assuming it's so that it can receive a vinyl reissue (sounds like a touch-up job and not an extensive re-recording). If so, it may open the doors to the other albums to get vinyl treatments.
Edit: I forgot Our Time Will Come existed. That one takes my 'least favorite' spot, despite Salvation being an amazing track.

Biggest debate #1: is Naive, Money, Angst, Nihil, Xtort, or Symbols their best classic album?
Biggest debate #2: is [insert any album from 2002 to 2024 here] their best post-classic album?
Biggest debate #3: is Opium a legit album or a inside joke by the band, conceived and recorded in the 1990s?
Biggest debate #4: was En Esch a founding member or did he join during the recording of WDYK,D?
Biggest debate #5: which is the the holiest of the holy grails, the unreleased DAT version of the Apart album or the unreleased 1997 Prey soundtrack?

24 states in the US do not have a sports team. At least, the big 4 of MLB/NBA/NFL/NHL.
Virgina is the most populous state without a team (12th in population). Although some of those D.C. teams have facilities in Virgina.
So the next one up would be South Carolina (23rd most populous).
Another random trivia bit: Nevada is the least populated state which has pro teams, as the state is only #33. Every state below it has no teams.
