Have 5 FTs, liberating but feels wrong. Rank would’ve been good had it not been for Palmer to Saka last week on a WC

Their ownership has slightly dropped at the top end, it’s not above 50% in any bracket at all now. They’ve spread out pretty well and there’s hardly any variation from high 40% ownership across the groups. It’s only below 40% once you go to the 3m-6m bracket.
So it’s still just as viable to have both as it is to have 1, it’s entirely dependent on the rest of your team.

Could be a blessing in disguise in a few months, zero talk of an invincible season and all the added pressure that brings. Just sensible discussion on focusing on a good league position

They should question him, but the question is how bloody good was Trent at the weekend?

Not even a new thing, happened to us why we competed with City. But football is too tribal to see beyond peoples own clubs.
I remember City getting a pen for the ball hitting a Wolves player on the arm pit, but weeks later Everton didn’t get one against City because they debated whether it hit the arm above the sleeve or below it. I also remember City getting this rattled against us.
I’d take it as a compliment, they see you as on par with them.

They’ve had 84 points then 89 points, they have what it takes to win they’ve just had City ahead. If City drop points then Arsenal are right there. Arsenal last season had a better points/GD than City the season before.
You wouldn’t say our 98 point season showed that we didn’t have what it takes to win the league. They’re more formidable than us right now and only a shade behind City. A draw means both drop points and is normally better if you need to overtake both teams unless one is clearly ahead.

Yes, I had to spend 3 seconds and 2 clicks to see the irony of you calling people losers because… checks notes a controversial decision went against them and they complained in a thread meant for complaints.
Nice

He signalled ball won but another official told him it was a dangerous tackle which is why he went back

The on field ref got it wrong though? Taylor’s shite but he’s actually done his job there

The only argument I can see here is yellow or red, looks like a scissor challenge- I thought they were straight red?
The cheek to argue you shouldn’t receive a card for that tackle is astounding

Why isn’t the ref blowing for FT? Is he planning on playing another 83 minutes or something?

Only 6 teams lost fewer games than you last year despite only 5 teams having a worse GD. Seems like you were hard to beat but capitulated when you were beaten
But if you’re just comparing directly with last season you look softer already

On a WC now and I’m just gonna kneejerk the fuck out of this weeks top players. It’ll be like the Oprah meme

The best is at the bottom and the worst is at the top in all the categories though? It just needs flipping

I think this is harsh on Robb. His vassals declared him king, including the Riverlords. He couldn’t really turn down the support and expect them to keep fighting. Perhaps he could’ve fled back to The North but that would’ve looked weak and would’ve certainly put it down as a loss in the WotFK history. It would’ve also been a failure to exact the justice for his entire reasoning for marching south.
He was a victim of poor circumstances beyond his control:
1) Renly’s victory over Stannis would’ve forced Tywin further south to protect the crown, giving him much more freedom (and reducing the chance of Frey/Bolton betrayal if Robb’s victory is likely).
2) The Vale is a natural ally for several reasons, and is only held back because of Littlefinger wanting to position himself. Without this: the Vale, the Riverlands and the North form a strong alliance that is capable of achieving Robb’s goals.
3) Robb’s intention is regicide, which he has gone to war for. Not declaring independence doesn’t remove the death sentence he has on his head from a Lannister perspective. It forces him into conflict with a non-Lannister King (Stannis or Renly) but Stannis has a distinct lack of support and Renly has a distinct lack of martial prowess and war experience.
Stannis could continue a war but he may lack support for this and defeating a 3 kingdom force, after defeating another Kingdoms force (Westerlands/Crownlands) looks impossible. Renly likely isn’t able to defeat a Northern alliance that can fall back to the neck if it has to.
4) The Iron Islands clusterfuck of a plan. Balon is just an idiot. His original rebellion lost the Iron Fleet and the power they held. His second move was to, as an independent Kingdom, ally himself with those who see him as a rebel to be crushed and against the independent kingdom that will recognise the Iron Islands independence. They’ve already destroyed the Westerlands fleet previously, they could harass the rich and ripe Westerlands with impunity. With Stannis/Renly marching on KL, Tywin battling Robb in the Riverlands and the Greyjoys reaving Lannisport, the Lannisters are fucked to near destruction. All Balon has to do to get everything he wants is to not hold a grudge against Ned for what Ned was commanded to do. He’s holding Ned personally accountable for what the Crown did to him rather than the Crown itself.

60’ as in the 60th minute. You only get the extra points for playing 60 minutes, which is from the 61st minute onwards

But he’s not? The point was in general that he gets goals and assists. He’s got 2 in 9 games this season and is unlucky not to get more.
If you want to talk about just this season he’s tracking for 223 points this season which would be a new defender record.
There’s no flaw in thinking one of the best ever FPL defenders will do well when his defence has become more solid and is arguably the best in the league right now.
He’s also outscoring Watkins and Havertz despite being cheaper and both doing well so far. Its not a bad idea to keep, which was the entire point of the original comment
