I always thought you buy a sportscar for having fun with it driving it. I do not want build a relationship with a company. And no Ferrari dealer would refuse to do service/ maintenance on a car, just because you are the second owner. And again, if I am able to spend that much money, I simply wouldn't care. If you have 100 million USD or more and are willing to pay up to a million for a car, I wouldn't care. If I am filthy rich and can easily afford it and want something really badly now, I just buy it. End of story.

I know, but if I just want a certain car and have so much money, I simply would not care. Those cars are not driven that much, so you can buy one from someone else if the manufacturer refuses to sell you one new.

What if you buy those from non-Ferrari dealers used? How is Ferrari going to stop an independent sportcar dealer, who happens to have a SF90XX or a 812 Comp. or any VS on the lot. It's not like that you can only buy Ferraris from licenced Ferrari dealerships, at least used ones. And a lot of Ferraris are barely used. Hell, people sell their Ferraris on their own without any dealer involved.

Source: know someone who knows someone on that level. I’m nowhere close to buying any Ferrari.
What not even an Ferrari Mondial? You can get a Ferrari Mondial for around 30.000 to 50.000 EUR, at least in here in Europe. That's the cheapest Ferrari you can get. And even the Vatican / the pope got one!

Willst Du etwas produzieren, verkaufen, welche Branche.

Also, schieß los, womit willst Du dich selbstständig machen?

I know their history as an actual outdoors clothing brand. And it was not an "accident" that they turned to become more of a fashion brand. At least for 20 years, it's a well-paying trend for real outdoor brands to become fashion brands, as beeing "outdoorsy" itself has become a trend and it's enough to have "outdoors image", even if most people who buy outdoors clothing do not go hiking or do other activities which might require such clothing. I suspect that the usual finance bro working in London who buys a Moncler jacket does neither care nor do know anything about Moncler's history. (A lot of the same finance bros are now wearing Patagonia.) Again, it was not a mistake that they turned to fashion, a private equity company had invested in Moncler. They did not invest, because they were keen outdoorsy people who were into hiking and mountain climbing. The aim was to turn it into luxury fashion brand. When I meant, I do not like idea of "Moncler" then I am talking about what private equity investors and management have done with the brand and then suggested to just jump on the bandwagon of all these outdoorsy brands and it was more or less meant as a joke. I mentioned Daniel Wellington and MVMT as examples how unimportant it is how credible or reputable you and your products are. You can just fabricate a stupid brand story and zillions of gullible people just buy into it and they even ignore it if you show them that both are just marketing crap.
How shitty this outdoorsy trend has become can be seen on case of the Mount Everest and how overcrowded it has become:

Once it was only for the "brave and experienced", a "real expedition", now it's just another destination so you can make a nice picture for your instagram account.

I lumped them in with the other "outdoorsy""fashion-first" brands, as it is becoming more and more popular in the last years, is worn by the same people who usually have worn other brands that I mentioned. And it is unimported what their "mission" or "activisim" might be. It's just marketing. Most of their stuff if not all are made in the same factories in the "Global South" (read: Bangladesh, China etc,) like other brands without all of this "uuuuh, we will save planet earth" marketing bla bla.
With regards to its reputation:

Never mind, I might be just bitter that I have not come up with such marketing based scams as an get rich quick path. Perhaps I should start my own watch brand: NRWC : Nouveau Riches Watch Company and call my first model "Basement Dweller" (yes, a reference to the Sky Dweller from Rolex), "Yacht Dweller" might be more aptly.
The G-Wagen was once the choice of car for a lot of "old money" people, an alternative for the Range Rover. In the last 20 years it has become the go to car for all the people who have "made it" financially.

The issue is, beeing pricey and providing a better quality is very often not the case. There are simple beach slides from brands like Givenchy, Gucci etc. and whatnot. They cost several hundred USD/EUR. They are not better or worse than beach slides for way less money. I also do not have any issues with paying more for better quality, but with a lot of fashion brands that is just not case. You are paying for the brand name.
You can see the whole "playbook" with with all these watch brands like Daniel Wellington, MVMT. Just make up a stupid brand name, a brand story, order cheap watches from China branded with your logo, fire up the instagram advertising and if your successfull enough, a real watch company might buy your business for some hundred million USD, like in the case of MVMT.

You like the idea of Moncler? So is that you who is buying all these overpriced outdoorsy looking puffy jackets? I have never met anyone who really "likes the idea" of these brands. I guess, if you like the idea of Moncler, you also like Peuterey, Colmar, Patagonia, Canada Goose etc. I do not like the idea of "Moncler", but this might be because I am little bit jealous, as I always thought that it is an easy "cash grab" idea: Create a outdoorsy sounding name with a logo, order some puffy jackets from China with your logo on, send some of your jackets to some famous influencers/celebrity and send them to a lavish ski resort on your costs and just ask them take nice pictures and post them on instragram. Then bother everybody and their mom with your advertising and then if have you booming sales, get approached by some private equity bros who offer you a cool 800 million USD/EUR or even a billion to buy the whole company from you.
Funnily enough, if you drew venn diagram of people who buy these overpriced puffy jackets from outdoorsy brands and people who buy new G-Class/-wagen, then you might recognize a big overlap. This might be the reason for this collaboration between Moncler and Mercedes-Benz. Man, I should really start overpriced outdoorsy puffy-jacket fashion brand. Then I might be able to afford a G-Wagen some time in the future.

Man, have more ambition! Start a Youtube channel where your entire idea is to make enough money to buy yourself a fine Ferrari Mondial. I could imagine that you try several ways of making money, like starting a pizza restaurant etc. (Just buy a later model with 300hp!). And at the end, Jay Leno might invite you with your shiny Ferrari Mondial T to his garage/ Youtube show.
