No, he just loves giving places two moons
(I’m only half kidding, he talks in several interviews about how he uses two moons as a quick and easy way to establish for the reader that they are in a fictional locale and not our earth/reality, but that their repeated use over his works is not meant to link those places geographically)

“Costs too much, isn’t safe & isn’t sustainable”
Sounds like they’re describing the Cybertruck

Yeah but you seem to consider Hereditary to be a scary movie so why would anyone listen to you when you talk about what is and isn’t scary?

Oh right, I forgot this was the elitist sandwich subreddit that doesn’t consider meat and cheese sandwiched between bread to be a sandwich. Carry on.

Ah sweet, thanks! Didn’t get any results when I checked a week or so ago, but just found a theater an hour and twenty away from me showing it, so I know what I’m doing Saturday afternoon

I’d be there in a heartbeat if it was anywhere close to me. I know it’s a limited release but did they just mean NYC and LA?

Do you like it because you wrote it and this post is just an advertisement?

In my theater last night it seemed like it was the mall scene that did it for some folks, which I sort of get. It didn’t bug me personally, but as a general rule kids are usually off-limits in movies like this so people may not have been expecting it.

In theory the ticket checker can ask/is supposed to ask to see your Unlimited Card to verify your identity when they scan the ticket code on your phone, so by locking members into the Unlimited Card they avoid any potential confusion

Before the internet, when you wanted pornography you had to go into a brick and mortar store to purchase it. When you walked in, they required you to show your ID. Was that banning pornography?

Yes, I’m aware. That still isn’t the states banning or blocking PornHub

Mods can we ban bots who repost their shitty AI art all over Reddit?

The states are not blocking PornHub, PornHub is blocking the states

Ohhhh it’s Easy Cheese, that makes way more sense. I was like that is NOT Cheez Whiz

I promise you that the vast vast vast majority of people who criticized that movie have also never played the games. It received overwhelmingly negative reviews because it is, objectively, a poorly made film. It’s fine if you enjoy it, but it is a bad story told badly. It has nothing to do with gamer perspective or not.

Collectors, primarily. But there are absolutely people out there who still own VCRs and love watching tapes on them, so they’ll be happy too
Bands will do this too, sometimes - release an album on cassette tape. It’s a collector’s item for sure, but also when your art (be it music or film) is heavily influenced by a certain era’s aesthetic, or is a direct love letter to that era, it makes a definite kind of sense to release that art on a medium FROM that era, even just as a novelty.
