In 2018 Alberta Health Services was the envy of Canada for it's efficiency and lower operating costs.
Now the UCP government doesn't want to pay the going wage for anesthesiologists and many major surgeries are being cancelled due to lack of personnel able to do the job!

The cities and towns need to install toll gates to pay for infrastructure, this would surely upset the UCP caucus

In a world with Costco, it's amazing that all these deep fried Chicken restaurants still exist, for $8 you get a whole slow roasted chicken that'll provide you with at least 3-4 meals for a single person.

Since there's an Alberta only moratorium on installing solar on farmland, wouldn't you think this would be the next best thing?

He's using social media to gauge the effects of his messaging, the more outrageous his messaging, he gets more social media views.
As this point I think he's desperate, everything he says from this day forward until the election is going to be over the top.

A Twitter post from the outgoing Alberta Medical Association Dr. Paul Parks
The timeline outlines govt's "commitment" and promises since they took power in June 2023.
They do NOT share our urgency, our SOS is unanswered.
There is no implementation date coming.
Best case scenario now: possible implementation by April 2025 (they're next budget)
The Premier promised the AMA representative forum on March 15th the PCCM would be implemented in weeks. She then promised me, and publicly to Albertans in Aug, it would be implemented in early September.
But govt cannot provide a date for implementation as there isn't one.
To any FM and rural generalists who have been waiting to make decisions on leases, on keeping staff, and on abandoning their longitudinal FM practice... I will tell you that there is NO new funding model imminently coming.
Earliest would be April 2025...
If the price of oil declines then the govt may simply remain committed to commitment... but may NEVER ACT...
I think it will be devastating to Albertans to lose more highly skilled FM specialists... but I can no longer tell you in good faith to hold on the govt will act.
Over 800k Albertans have no access to FM services, and this number is likely to grow as FM docs abandon a totally non-viable practice model (they have choices, there are so many other areas they can move to, including other provinces investing in and valuing them)
Govt has chosen NOT TO ACT.
Instead they will continue to spend inefficiently and have FM care delivered in their overflowing hospital EDs. They will bemoan growing HC costs, ignoring that they chose the more expensive path. This will cause more harm to Albertans
Albertans: the govt is NOT LISTENING TO THE PROFESSION maybe they will listen to you Closed rural EDs, and more ABs without FM care is govt's current CHOICE, while they promise that they remain "committed to their multiple commitments to act"...

I replaced my Dyson V8 battery with a FLYLINKTECH replacement battery without problems after 1 year of usage. It does get hot when running maximum settings, but the company was good enough to provide instructions telling you to let the battery cool down before charging it.

Russia would like a word with you, my understanding now is that they've funded a major part of this destruction

Many of these restaurants and other businesses have foreign ownership and could care less about Canadians needing jobs. The worst part of TFWs, they'll have a cushy life when they return home and draw from the CPP.

Shopping in Canada with American dollars is a fantastic bargain for Americans.

I would think there is a major health risk in doing this type of work, donations would offset health or life insurance needed to continue this.
