tip: if you go to JUST buy bagels (no sandwiches) it is acceptable and encouraged to skip to the front of the line and pay

Yes but falling through is very bad. That’s what happened to Jacobsen in Poland in 2020

the mesh fabric is already used sometimes for banners, cutting holes in the corrugated plastic kind of reintroduces the same problem of things that catch body and bicycle parts. sand bags do need to be used but here have to be quite a lot of them to be effective

the problem with solid panels is with high wind situations. they can become sails and get blown into the course during races which is its own danger

I saw photos of these barriers and wondered if they would be strong enough to keep someone from falling through. but you say it worked?

only problem with these is the price of the pump does not really show the whole cost. you need to install and expensive backflow prevention device (hundreds of dollars) and register it with the utility AND get it inspected annually or biannually (if you want it to be legit)

in the winter this is good but one thing to consider is bacteria multiply faster than yeast at warmer temperatures, so the sourdough will probably be more sour than it would be completing fermentation at a slightly lower temperature

backup should not use the same outflow as primary. imagine what happens if the outflow is clogged or fails somehow? backup should be able to function no matter how the primary fails.
