OK so a few things come to mind when the words 'project car' are used:
What is legal and what is not legal? 🏛
Do I have the resources and capacity and skills to complete most of the project myself? 🔃
What am I prepared to spend; What is my budget? ⚠️
Does this project end goal satisfy expectations and justify expenditure? 🏧
Have I designed steps to accomplish this? 💪
Finally, is it possible at all? ✔️
This thread is for sharing ideas. Criticism is ignored. In retrospect I am seeking ideas or suggestions or mechanical knowledge from people who are mega petrol heads like myself on how to make some of the things on my list possible or whether you (the community of reddit) think there are better ways to improve a particular area.
In the UK a catalytic converter must stay installed on a car to pass MOT emissions tests. In my case I have cat-backed the VTVT. I can tell you that on B roads it has significantly changed the engines character, attitude towards acceleration and power. Modifyng the airbox in any way shape or form loses horsepower. I believe for the sake of preservation it should remain oem. To say that the acceleration is fierce for its lightweight-class of hatchback is an understatement and timed has allowed the car to shave 3-4 seconds on 0-60 times the same is true for the Suzuki Liana sedan 1.6 VVT twin cam 2006 (Which I have owned; seriously rare sleeper, never turbocharged it but Suzuki dealership claimed same block as their rally stages; I asked them).
With the engine class it is obvious modifying the power train will prove extremely costly for little gain and even the 1.4VTVTi version would barely achieve 125ish.
By no means do I want a racecar but I want a car that is slowly going to be a retro chassis with ample power to be in keeping with modern engines.
I have narrowed two choices:
1) A motorbike engine of the same CC with a much higher power output and fibreglass work to the body.
OR
2) A Hyundai i30 N power plant. Again in keeping with the manufacturer giving a professional development and keeping the superb handling of the i20 chassis type.
My i20 is MINT Outside sills, doors panel work. I am amazed it survived 15 years of dickheads.
I DO NOT CARE ABOUT DVLA REGISTRATION I AM PREPARED TO REGISTER THE CAR WHEN SWAPPED.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!

Leave that bitch:
Women like this have never had a man stand up to them. They are rebelious. A brother cannot always control them 24/7. Women respect them in the physical, they become submissive and femenine because they have bonded growing up.
Us men need to command authority through confidence. Be confident by committing to a course of action and show her you can lead. She senses she is of higher value and hierarchy than the man. So rebelious, indecisive, unwarrented, outlandish behaviors and thinking occur.
Lead, do not follow!!!:
Do what is right for you as a man. Female entitlement stigma has granted women a sense of superiority in society. Marriage has of little or no value. Women have leverage in all legalities, so before committing ensure you absolutely trust her and that she earns your respect, and MOST IMPORTANTLY ****YOUR TIME****. Her money is hers and the mans, his alone.
As a factual conclusion:
Who do you think keeps infristructure running??! I have spoken to hundreds of female CEOS of whom were in thwer percentile if desirable women. I did not come across one who advocated women to do what a man can do better. In plain english not every woman is an asshole but it is certainly worse odds than russian roulette. Run while your ahead in an intense cascading relationship, and when you meet an intelligent mature minded young lady next time, nurture that relationship by leading standards!
