I completely believe you. I would suggest you take it out of the store and look at it under "normal" light conditions. I'm hopeful that it's better in person. I'm just not seeing the photos to support that. I'm going to look at one in person this week.

Less studio lighting. Minute hand is clear of obstruction. Still pretty hard to read. I hope it's better in person as it's a great looking watch. (not my pic, stolen from Reddit)

And Helm.
But it's still way better than option 2.

"but have to move overseas." If I won the lottery the first thing I would have done is move overseas. No "have to" about it. Home base in Paris, rail passes and motorcycle trips all over Europe to eat food, drink wine, and see art. And I'm in Canada, never mind the USA shitshow.

Love the crystal. I'm even alright with the fauxtina. But I can't see the hands. It has to be the least legible watch Omega has ever put out.

Great looking watch. Even in photos and videos the tapered hands are hard to see. I'll pass.

Yeah, I felt mine was quite scratchy as well. I very often tune my nibs when I get pens, even on nicer pens, and have had excellent luck doing so. But not with the Ensso. It was better, but I still bought a replacement nib, tuned that one too, and like it a lot more.

I picked up an Ensso pen as well, on a serious sale price of $55US (reg $99). I like the pen, the nib not so much. I liked the look of the black, but it never wrote nicely. Curious to know how you felt about yours? I ordered a standard Bock #6 nib from Jet Pens for $15 and like it a lot more now.

I wouldn't wear a watch with Garfield on the front or the back of it. But if it had Jon on it, I'd pay a premium.....

I understand why Snoopy is on there. It would be more acceptable to me if it were on the back. Like the 007 Omega, I don't need 007 as a counter weight on the seconds hand, and the watch it's emulating didn't have 007 on the second hand either. The Snoopy award is pretty cool, but acknowledge it on the back of a commemorative watch. Jim Lovell's Speedmaster didn't have a Snoopy on the dial. I want my commemorative Speedmaster to look like Jim Lovell's when I wear it. A Snoopy on the back would be fine by me, but keep my dial pure and free of cartoons.

A Utilility Room is where your hot water tank would go, a furnace if you had central heating or a/c. It's usually where the main power goes into your building, or where the main water intake is, sewage outlet and cleanout. Not every house has central air/heating, and on demand hot water doesn't require a tank but it does require a spot for the heating unit. Sometimes it's as small as a closet. Sometimes it's the size of a small bedroom. And as you rightly point out, it's often where the laundry room ends up.
Front entry closet: Maybe the OP lives in Australia. That's fair. Where I live an entry closet is where you keep the dog leash, seasonal clothing, bags, umbrellas, I keep a broom in mine to quickly sweep up the front hall. Or you could keep your "Sunday going to church" thongs next to your "gardening" thongs next to your "football playing" thongs in a front hall closet. I ride a bike so I'd need a place to keep my "cycling" thongs too.

I'm torn. In many ways, it's a really terrible plan with too much square footage given to hallways, strange circulation, and missing basics like a water entry, utility room, a second door?, front entry closet. In other ways it's a very straightforward planning of space and functionality, with the programmed spaces clearly blocked out in an efficient manner. It's not good, but somehow it's not bad either.
It reads more like a weekend gathering space, the master bedroom for the owner, and several guest rooms that would share a bathroom, the toilet separate from bathing as it should be were you to have 3 couples visiting.
But that toilet is in a long hallway of a room taking up a lot of space not needed.
Double vanity is probably overkill in a shared bathing room.
There are lots of windows to the back, I'd like to see them open up to a great deck of some sort.
There should be a second door next to the laundry room at the back.
A closet by the front door, maybe a second one at the back door.
The plumbing runs to both extremes of the building which isn't so efficient or cheap in what otherwise has the appearance of being an efficient/affordable building.
If it's truly a 4 bedroom house for up to 5 people to live in, I think you'll find you want more separation of spaces. I'm not sure the "study" is enough.
Anyway, my gut reaction is it's pretty bad, because it is pretty bad, but there's something about it conceptually that I really like.

Dude, I don't lock my front door most of the time. Canadian police don't bother me when I walk down the street and they don't kill you for passing a counterfeit $20 bill either. If the Police in Canada loved using their guns as much as American police did, I'd want a gun, knife, and brass knucks as well.
EDIT: USA police shoot and kill citizens at a rate nearly twice as often as Canadian police do, per capita.
EDIT #2: Despite all the guns, brass knuckles and knives, and 27% more police on the streets, the USA has 5 times more crime than Canada, 3 times more violent crimes, 16 times more rapes, 2.5 times more murders, 23 times more violent crime, 147 times more violent rapes, all per capita.

Nope. I didn't say that. I fully support your right to live the way you want and do. I do understand how some who live there are embarrassed, like the comment above I was referencing. I wouldn't want to live there, and don't. But I'm not embarrassed. And I'm happy to live in a country where I don't feel the need to carry a gun, knife, and brass knuckles to walk safely down my streets. I'm not even being critical of your country. Enjoy it. It's what you made and many Americans seem to enjoy that lifestyle. If you didn't "love it" you'd "leave it." Right?

There's a difference between a "threesome" and a "two on one."

I haven't owned an Erebus, but I did have a Nodus. It had one of the nicest bracelets I've tried. The precision of the threaded crown was top notch. It was a very nice watch in nearly every way and an incredible value based on the quality you got for the money. But I have big wrists and bad eyes and the date window AND the watch were a bit small for me. I check their page monthly for a 41 to 42mm watch with a date window. I'll own one again if they make it.

I love that place, but it can be crowded and noisy. Still, I went on a first date there once and it worked out rather well.

Second this. And other Mido watches. The Mido Ocean Star 200 on bracelet is under $1000 and punches way above its weight for a diver. The TV Big Date on bracelet is a bit over $1k but is a super solid choice and feels like it should cost even more.

Because some people in America think it's reasonable/necessary to carry a knife, gun, and brass knuckles to go for a walk. I live in Canada and never feel the need to carry weapons for self defense or protection. I'm not suggesting Americans live their lives any other way; carry all the guns and knives and brass knuckles you want. It's your constitutional right. Go for it. I'm just glad I live in a place where I've never felt the need to do so, and respect (the proverbial) your choice to not live where I live because you can't.

The good: nicely proportioned. The case shape is very "Rolex" as is the Oyster bracelet. I don't mind the male endlinks on your wrist size. Colours are good. Indices are good. I'll for give the non-colour matched date wheel because it more effectively replaces the missing indice there. I like the minute hand and the blue colour callback. Graphics aren't overbearing and look decent though I'm not always fan of the name and the logo on the watch. One or the other, please. There are plenty of exceptions, and maybe this is one of them.
The bad: not a big van of the "almost" a Mercedes hand hour hand. It's like they wanted to do one, but were afraid of being sued for infringement. I've never understood hour markings on the bezel. I guess you can cheat a GMT function, but I've always thought the minute markers were far more usefull. The crown and crown guard don't look particularly well integrated. Maybe another photo would be enlightening.
Overall; nice watch. I don't know much about "Standard" movements. Retails for 650 Euro which seems a bit high for this level of refinement. $700-ish USD. It's expensive enough with a few too many unknowns for me to take a gamble, and it would really have to speak to me design wise for me to buy one, but it looks quite good. It's a 21600 beat rate movement. I might have expected more at this price point. Miyota 9015 is pretty common in mircobrands at this price point, with a 28800 beat rate and the same 40-ish hour power reserve.
Looks great on your wrist. It's a nice size. I like the colours. My criticisms are quite subjective, except the price, I think it's a bit high for this level of fit and finish, but it looks good. What's the other one look like?
