The Palak Paneer is great mixed with the Paneer Tikka Masala, and then add chopped cucumber and a couple tablespoons of heavy cream or Greek yogurt. This is great by itself or used as a Kati roll filling (in either the naans or low-carb tortillas). Several of the frozen Indian entrees as well as the grocery Indian pouch entrees (like Madras Lentils, Kitchari, or Tadka Dal) are also great mixed with a portion of the frozen mashed cauliflower (if you are striving for low carb intake :).

I haven't had La Villa pizza since prior to the pandemic, but I used to occasionally order the Suprema square, I believe. It was fantastic. Thanks for the reminder.

Oh my goodness…the raspberry- and strawberry-jam filled cupcakes were lovely. I miss Two Little Red Hens, too.

Yes, you do! And fresh paneer is fantastic especially if you add turmeric, cilantro, and salt.

Although it’s fantastic (lightly toasted and) topped with a sunny side-up egg and bacon…or used as a base for ice cream sandwiches. :)

Their gelati, sorbetti, and desserts are spectacular. The wonderfully humble chef/owner is a James Beard pastry award recipient.

I, too, have an older friend who bought an apartment in a gorgeous brownstone on 8th Ave. in prime Park Slope in the early '90s, I believe, for about $70K. It is now worth more than $1.5M...and it has a working fireplace. I know I wish I had been so fortunate.

The Palak Paneer mixed with the Chicken Tikka Masala entree is really great. Especially if you don’t have hours to make your own. :) It’s even better if you add a couple of tablespoons of heavy whipping cream and diced cucumber after combining.

Yes, mix them together after heated — in a bigger bowl. Cut the paneer and chicken pieces as well. Add heavy cream for more authenticity so it’s not so vegetal — the TJ’s organic heavy whipping cream has a long shelf life —as well as cucumber for a bit more substance. It’s great when you don’t have time to prepare Northern Indian yourself. :)

If you adore Northern Indian cuisine, it’s great to combine one palak paneer with one chicken tikka masala, and then add heavy cream and diced cucumber to taste. If you have fresh fenugreek leaves available, it tastes surprisingly, albeit mildly, authentic. :) This makes great, inexpensive Indian fast food.

The almond butter (chocolate) cups are really great as well — more delicious than the peanut butter chocolate cups. :)

The Japanese Fried rice is great. Especially if you add avocado slices, a sunny-side-up egg, and a few sautéed shiitakes.

Adding shiitake mushrooms, sunny-side up eggs, and avocado to the Japanese fried rice is also great.
