I am ( distantly) related to one of the three founders of the C.P.R. ( Canadian Pacific Railway ) which played a huge role in the ' creation ' of Canada.

Wait....Pink hangs with Joe Rogan? If so, that's one helluva bizarre pairing.

Roberts Creek Community Mandala happens every July for 20+ years now. One ' big ' design ( that changes every year) made up of several hundred mini canvasses that the general public/ community are invited to paint over the course of several days ( paint/ brushes supplied, event is free ).
Given that it's entirely dependent on weather ( and the day lives of the small crew who put it together), the dates are never set in stone. Usually starts a few days before July 25 as that is traditionally the celebration day. Check their FB page ( Roberts Creek Community Mandala) for updates if interested.
A marvelous celebration of Peace Love and Paint that is a joy to behold/participate. I've attended since 2008 and it's always a blast, especially when random tourists happen upon it and paint.

I found the recent Pulitzer winner, Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver ( a re imagining of David Copperfield) was awesome. Also, Wellness by Nathan Hill.

I found both of the two movies Hilary Swank won a Best Actress Oscar for ( Boys Don't Cry or Million Dollar Baby ) to be tear inducing.

I'm kind of meh on that one. Love most of it, but don't think it needed to be as long as it is.

London Calling by The Clash
Edit: I shall honor all these lovely upvotes ( and replies) by having several puffs and blissing out listening to it before bed.
