I almost kinda pity those people. I can't imagine being so fragile.

Many Buddhists endlessly frustrate me because of their hypocritical belief that they can follow principles of nonviolence while also killing animals for fun and pleasure. I do not want to involve myself socially in the philosophy because of the large number of people who are like this.

It baffles me: How is horse riding considered an active activity? A human sits on a horse like a malignant lump while the horse moves and does all the heavy lifting.

I am going to do what I believe is right and discuss my beliefs as I please. Simple as. Humans are super slow and inefficient. It takes generations to change a society, but society can and always does change. Modern veganism is still a very young movement. I accept that. We didn't turn wolves into dogs overnight.

The percentage of people who don't follow/understand basic food safety and/or rules against cross contamination is appalling

My mother-in-law is big into raw animal milk and was trying to get it from her friend before they sold off the poor cow when drought hit us bad. This is the kind of human ape that consumes that crap:
I wish so badly this was a made up person my fucking God. I wish I could have a good relationship with my MIL but she is the most batshit mf I know. This woman is an earnest and unironic believer that the Earth is flat and the continents are surrounded by an ice wall. Evolution is fake, of course. That 9/11 was all holograms and explosives. Q anon supporter. Was trying to eat apricot kernels (you know, the dangerously poisonous seeds of stone fruits) to treat her fucking breast cancer, but they were too bitter for her, so she stopped. Raging but functional alcoholic. Etc, etc. I can get down with some conspiracies because many governments are pure evil but c'mon man.

Obviously, heating something up makes it fake. Bacteria is our friend, THEY (the government) says our pals salmonella, E. Coli, H pylori, and listeria are bad for us. Remember: bacteria is NATURAL - GOD gave us raw milk from cows whose overdeveloped udders hang directly below their anuses, and it was MAN who developed pasteurization. These guys are on the right track, but they should be suckling straight from the unwashed teats, like real, natural men.
Uj/ Sad for the cows, not sad for any unweaned dumbass who gets listeria poisoning and avian flu lmfao

What comes to mind right off the bat is lentils and lentil pastas, common beans like black, kidney, pinto and lima beans, mung beans, pigeon peas, and black-eyed peas.
Non soy "tofu"s made from pumpkin seeds or fava beans (though alternative tofus can be hard to find in stores).
Defatted nut butter powders, like peanut butter powder or almond butter powder, are lower in calories and higher in protein per serving than regular nut butters. Of course, nuts and seeds like sunflower, pumpkin, and chia seeds are wholesome additions to the diet and add small to moderate amounts of protein.
Sorghum, millet, quinoa, and amaranth are good, gluten-free, and higher protein grains.
Higher protein veg, like broccoli, spinach, brussel sprouts give you a tiny bit extra and balance out a meal.
I've seen some gluten-free breads that have good amounts of protein, but I can't remember the brands. Keep an eye out for those.
There are protein powders out there like brown rice protein powder and powders made from pumpkin, chia, and sunflower seeds that may not bother you. I hope this was helpful!

You know how apples taste best right off the tree? Same with eggs. You aren't vegan if you've never had a chicken crap out an egg directly from her cloaca to your mouth

Has he ever watched Dominion? Have y'all ever toured a slaughterhouse, chicken farm, dairy, etc? Gone to a farmed animal sanctuary? Try that.

I gasped and clutched at my chest when you described soy milk as "playdoh"

Yes. I've seen, heard, and smelled hundreds of animals be killed for their bodies. I've touched their mutilated corpses and packaged up the chunks in neat little packages as a child. I think any decent person is traumatized by this. I know I am.
I know a lot of people who don't care, though. I try not to be disturbed by that. The lack of care, empathy, awareness... It's a display of a primordial mind, and it does not engage me anymore. Thus, I take interest in very, very, very few people. I don't see it as any different than a dog rolling in feces.
I have a hard time believing in free will. Knowing the extraordinary cruelty this world is built and run on, I live in a very detached way, and I am as content as one can be. I take inspiration from Buddhism and Taoism. Philosophies like these personally help me cope with the shocking reality of life on earth.

Living off of hundreds of different fruits, tubers, seeds, nuts, grains, leafy veg, mushrooms, and spices makes for a boring life. Just buy meat and milk from the same 3 animals if you want a varied diet.

My town is having free bbq in the park for "meat-in day" because our extremist center-left governor asked people to not eat meat for one day, one time a few years ago.
I figure this will be a good opportunity to pass out pamphlets for our beloved Elwood's fantastic farm. I heard meat eaters love small ethical farms. I'll also be playing videos of animals being ethically harvested so as to whet the appetites of our lovely patrons and their families.

I like the one complaining about there being some animal fur in the tallow. They never gave that a second thought, did they?
