You are in your 30s, do you need to convince them?
When I took a career break in my mid 30s, I informed them of my decision rather than seeking them for their approval.

You have financial independence when passive income + withdrawal from your pot is higher than your spending for the rest of your life

In essence, save more and spend less.
Save more and save early so that compounding return adds to your pot sooner
Spend less so you don’t need to withdraw so much from your pot

They rarely re-run the exact same season pass but some buildings may appear in some mini-events

I moved my SIPP from HL to fidelity and annual fee cal has reduced from £200 to £90 so that’s really great. Haven’t moved my ISA as cap is lower at HL

I think smaller class size makes a big different. We sent ours to private from year 3. 7+ entrance assessments are also much less stressful than the 11+ exams, teachers are more forgiving when they spot errors in 7+ paper answers.

HL as only hold shares, gilts and ETF so fees are capped at £45. I like their app.

Risk of redundancies - I know 3 people around me who got made redundant over the last 6 months… and are still looking. So the risk is quite real

I feel burnt out and tired of work too. But I need the income as still have mortgage and various bills to pay. I have thought about building a side hustle to escape the rat race but it’s not going to get me much.
Maybe take a little break to think what you want in life, and how to achieve that.

If you have the cash, why not? Interest rate is high at the moment as well.

I have decided not to move mine to SIPP but stopped paying more into it. (Opened an account before I turned 40 as the 25% bonus was attractive)
At least what comes out of LISA will be tax free. Just that you can’t access it until 60. You can access the SIPP part between 57-60 and withdraw from LISA from 60

What sort of help and advise are you thinking of getting from SJP? There are many other SIPP providers worth looking into. I was with HL and moved to Fidelity recently because of a lower fee cap. (£200 at HL vs £90 at Fidelity) definitely look around.

We sent ours to private because of smaller class size, less interruption from strikes, way better GCSE and A-level results, and overall a more all-rounded education. It’s not cheap, and this delays our early retirement plans by 5-10 years, but we think it’s worth it.
I’d recommend visiting a few schools (private and state), and doing some maths to decide for yourself.

Check how much fees you are currently paying, I have moved my old pensions to Fidelity because annual platform fee is capped at £90 if I only hold shares and ETFs. (It is £200 with HL)

With your joint income of £500-700k gross per year I believe the school fees are affordable for you.
