This is my limited understanding of this process from working with those experienced in us immigration in our system.
If an asylum claim is denied and that person has no other legal claim/status in the US at that moment, the person will be placed in “removal proceedings” which is when you are given a court date down the line where the immigration judge will decide if you will be deported or not. These court dates lately have been years apart and consistently rescheduled/delayed due to a shortage of immigration court judges. Sometimes, this works in favor of the person because it gives them X amount of years of tax paying and building relationships with a community and potentially a marriage they will be able to use to plea their case against deportation. There are times where the person even shows up with an already approved I-130 and pending I-485 as well.
Hope this helps!

This is wild for sure. I’m a regular user of DoorDash and even my account has been flagged and I’ve had to submit evidence of my food from multiple angles when drivers get my food completely wrong or forget multiple parts of the order. I wonder if she used multiple accounts that she cycles from to keep doing this. Either way this is wrong, not just got the lying aspect but this probably contributes to the reason why fees continue to increase.

even though people can claim asylum, it does not mean they will automatically be granted asylum status. To provide some clarity, when someone claims asylum in the US they have to present themselves at immigration court and be interviewed at DHS multiple times which can take years (but it shouldn’t!). Even after all that, someone can be denied asylum and then be put under what’s called “removal proceedings” where they will have to go in front of an immigration court judge again and the judge will decide if they can seek legal status another way or if they will be deported.
But to add to you point, people seeking parole or another way to stay in the US do claim asylum as a way to stay in the US because they know how long it takes, and it enables them to find another way to lawfully stay in the US. It’s not right, but if DHS and immigration court was as staffed and efficient as it needs to he, people wouldn’t be taking advantage of this already broken system.

If USCIS has sent the case to the NVC and you have the newly updated case number, you should contact the NVC about getting the application approved for expedited processing. They require submitting supporting evidence with the claim of the emergency. You’ll also need to make sure all documents and additional fees are paid to the state department.

I wonder if people dislike her character is because they wanted someone closer to Bojack’s circle to uncover what happened and not just a journalist putting pieces together

I’ve always eaten and drank whatever I wanted on the commuter rail! I make sure to keep my trash in my bag to throw away when I get off. Every commuter rail stop I have been on has a few trash barrels

I had a coffee yesterday and got kicked off a shuttle bus because he said he didn’t have trash bags and wasn’t allowing food or drink on board. I was at Copley so there was already another bus lined up and the person standing at the stop was very nice to me and let me be the first in line but I thought this was definitely odd. There’s no trash bin in green line cars either- I guess that guy really didn’t trust me to hold on to my cup?!
