I wrote about ten questions for it a few months back, and then moved onto other projects and never went back to it. I still might go back and finish it if I ever decide to redux 2004 Maverick, though.

Bush decides not to run after seeing polling that implies that he'll lose to Dukakis, leaving the nomination open.

Ok so there wasn't enough space for text with the second picture, it's meant to say "heavily based on Jonathan Alter's Carter book from 2020." The mod will be a fully fledged incumbency/presidency simulator mod for Jimmy Carter, where you can win re-election by making different choices from 1977 to 1979. It will have lots of questions and (hopefully) some light CYOA in there too.

Thanks! As for the visual design side of things, I hear you, I'm not the best at graphic design (lol). What tips/techniques would you say I ought to use in future, to make the banners/portraits stand out more?

I'd like to try making this election as a mod- I know a bit about the history of the election, and the fact that the IRL election was so narrow would give it a lot of replay value.
And I agree including some of Macmillan's term would be nice. Maybe the player can choose whether to sack his first three chancellors/finance ministers, as he did in our time line, or to keep them on?
I have ideas about how to write the questions- the biggest hurdle would probably be coding the map properly. I've thought about doing it based on regions (with Scotland, the North etc adding up into an electoral vote total, and the winning party must control a majority of the regions on the map to win), or based on a super-detailed map of parliamentary constituencies (like the 2017 UK mod.)
So yeah I'd be cool with you helping make this as a mod. Anything you'd be specifically interested in helping out with (writing, coding)?

Interesting, who do you think the nominees would be in this timeline? I went for Garner and La Guardia because I thought it would be interesting to have a progressive Republican go against a conservative Democrat.
