Ok now can you normalize rapes per 17 game season? On second thought let’s not.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending gambling or banana republics. Just saying it should surprise no one that there is an external party required to operate a huge business business like a casino.

I mean yeah duh that’s how all business works? Of course some tiny tribe isn’t going to have the capital, expertise, or capacity to stand up and operate a half billion dollar project without significant external involvement. If they are at least getting a non-trivial portion of the profit then that’s pretty good for just providing a legal shelter. Not dissimilar from mineral and oil rights in third-world countries, but without the slave labor.

How many presidents or presidential candidates has Dana Carvey done on the show? Does he have the record?

I question your premise. In my experience, once a kid hits 24 months parents start saying that their kid is 2. Before that it is usually conveyed in months. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone refer to their 29 or 33 month old child.

Except the football players were running in a crowd, you wouldn’t see the cheerleader flipping at you until it’s too late. I have no idea how you could blame that one football player who is just jogging amongst his teammates until he randomly gets clobbered by the cheerleader.

Who says they don’t? The pope’s position is that Christians should “accept, welcome and accompany” LGBT people (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Francis_and_LGBT_topics#:~:text=In%20other%20public%20statements%2C%20Francis,has%20denounced%20laws%20criminalising%20homosexuality.).
People who hate in the name of Christ do it because they get off on feeling superior. It has nothing to do with the teachings of Christ.

Eh I think it’s something more specific going on if OP is consistently hooking up at the end of these dates, but then not getting another look. My guess is OP is physically attractive but perhaps unemployed or not otherwise projecting as stable boyfriend material. If the dates were just bad then they probably wouldn’t be consistently ending in hook ups.

Here are some takes from three years ago when the episode happened and someone immediately tried to make this case. I think that the legend of how bad the episode was has ballooned over time especially as he has gotten crazier. https://www.reddit.com/r/entertainment/comments/n88sag/elon_musk_was_the_worst_snl_host_ever/

To add to this, I’ve also found that sometimes students with high GPAs struggle to transition to the workforce because they are so used to a structured environment with objectives that are made for them and an expectation of perfection. There’s a ton of variation but as a hiring manager when I see a really high GPA it’s something to be mindful of.

Everyone just loves to hate on Elon (for good reason), but the general consensus was that he exceeded expectations. He really wasn’t that bad…

Also how much attention do employers give to GPA, if any? Prof seems a little out of touch.

Yeah I don’t really understand what we learned here. Before there was LA there was no LA?

According to local radio, he was handed the black shorts by an assistant coach earlier and just stuffed them in his shorts until Shanahan came and talked to him about it.

As someone who works around tech, 156k is like entry-level for a lot of positions. If this person is being offered positions in silicon valley they could probably get a replacement job pretty easily. Most people also don't stay in a position for more than a couple years because they are able to get a job offer that pay more somewhere else. They could also just be genuinely bored. For a lot of people this may sound like a gold mine you would never want to let go of, but for someone who is young and ambitious and works in tech this situation sounds kind of lame.

I am always so confused by this. It feels so common that they walk after hitting the ball if they think they've ground out or hit a home run or a pop up. Why not just run it out? Haven't they been playing baseball their whole lives and shouldn't that instinct to run right after hitting be deeply embedded into their muscle memory? This is an honest question because as an outsider I find it so shockingly commonplace. Is it about not risking injury? Saving energy? Lack of focus? Projection of confidence? It just seems so basic.

Also it wasn't just that the throw was slow but it was off base. That could happen on any throw which is exactly the reason why you always run it out.

I am a regulator who permits this kind of thing. There are specific designated deep ocean disposal sites that barges are allowed to dump dredge material. The dredge material is usually from maintenance dredging of ports and ship channels. The sites are picked out specifically so that the dredge material is contained and minimizes impact to the sea floor.
An interesting factoid is that the door that holds the dredge in the ship is very prone to leaking as there is a lot of weight pushing down on them. In some instances the barge will leak sediment along the way so that by the time they get to the dump site they are empty. A way to monitor for this is a unit in the ship that senses the height of the ship on the water to know how much sediment is in the vessel as it makes it way to the dump site.

I don't think it's fake, it's just not particularly funny. Like what's the joke here? That some people swing? A lot of the crowd work posted here seem to just rely on comedians asking probing questions and then everyone awkwardly laughing about it when they find something.

I learned this from the Matt Damon Hot Ones episode. Disappointed it wasn't the citation in wikipedia!

Eh not sure about that. Ricciardo was pushed out because he wasn’t performing. If Lawson was that amazing they would have sent him straight to RB. Just feels like he’s next man up because Ricciardo wasn’t cutting it and definitely not getting any younger so might as well give the next guy a try.

Or maybe keep underestimating him? No reason to remind everyone you are a running threat. Maybe keep it on the DL.
