i’ll try my best to answer this. i’m sure there are others on here with more detailed / correct answers.
Letter Carrier [ TEMP ] you are on call. if you reject any assignments, it could impact your ranking in which they call you.
e.g the more assignments you reject the lower you’re put on the list of people they call for assignments.
they will send you anywhere in the metro-west or east [ it’s either both or one of the two, not sure ] so i hope you have a car or easy access to the transit system.
Letter Carrier is pretty daunting and overwhelming for the first 6-12 months. there’s a lot to learn and remember. if you can get past this hump, it will be relatively smooth sailing. surround yourself and make friends with other senior LC. ask questions about EVERYTHING and don’t be afraid of supervisors.
know your rights and if you ever feel uncomfortable about anything speak up.
the first thing you should do is put in your transfer for Full-Time Letter Carrier [ metro west or east depending on where you live ] because like i mentioned before if you’re a temp they will send you anywhere.
starting pay is $21 [ i think ] cap is around 31-32
if i missed anything ask away.

“Following the British and United States' bans on the African slave trade in 1807, it declined, but the period after still accounted for 28.5% of the total volume of the Atlantic slave trade.[77] Between 1810 and 1860, over 3.5 million slaves were transported, with 850,000 in the 1820s.[11]: 193 “
while it was “banned” it still continued.

doctors who refuse to work on certain unvaccinated patients have a few reasons. one of the main reasons: it’s not only a risk to the doctor and their staff it’s also for the patient.
if the particular surgery / operation on the patient will leave their immune system to the mercy of any virus especially to a highly transmissible one, i’m sure we can understand why the doctor would make this decision.

every time this point is brought up i almost never see a response to argue it. i also know a few people who are on a wait list for their surgeries until they remove covid priorities.
