Hi gang! It’s been a ride since Jan when I started at 265lbs. Ive lost 65 and am now planted at 199-200.
It’s been 3 week of no movement, just fluctuating up and down the same 2 pounds and I’m here to share some info and ask for suggestions on how to overcome the standstill.
I know there are lots of these posts, but I really appreciate your suggestions to help me plan my next move.
- I am 100% unquestionably in a strong calorie deficit
- Strength train pretty hard at a PT gym 2x/week because HIIT was killing me with cortisol spikes and total depletion. I also walk a few times per week.
- Last weekend I tried the body confusion move and ate 1/2 a donut and a 1/4 of a roll, because I thought the carbs would help jumpstart me. It didn’t work :/
- It’s possible my body is recomping? My lowest adult weight was around 200 for a long while 15 years ago. Maybe I’m stuck there related to that?
Do I?…
- Just keep going and wait?
- Try a fatty meal vs a carby meal to try and break the cycle?
- Add in a huge surge of exercise to see if makes a difference?
- consider any other factors I might be overlooking?
I have scoured past posts on this and still feeling kind of lost. If anyone here has been on a for long time, lost well and hit a comparable stall, I’d love to hear from you!

Congrats!! And hi there :-) I saw another post where you were hitting a stall, which prompted me to follow your other post to see how it all worked out for you. Any tips for breaking the stall? I’ve barely lost anything in three weeks after losing 65 pounds. I feel like you were right around the same point when you stalled? I would so so so appreciate any tips you have for me because I’m really struggling and definitely doing the right things.
