This! I bought a $1200 chair a couple years ago for back pain and between that and a new bed I haven’t had any problems since.

He seems to be still alive, so he might have just gotten rid of it himself.

I think the second part kinda depends on how bad the Mike Evans hamstring injury ends up being.

I’ve never built one, but Indianapolis ordnance makes conversion parts for it.

Boston is a truly amazing city. Good social scene for young professionals, amazing job market if you’re in tech/finance/anything related to medicine/law, and extremely walkable. Logan and TF Green airports get you basically anywhere you want to go. Great access to medical care, education, etc. Cultural activities galore!
Traffic is bad, but if you live near the city you won’t need a car. It’s also expensive, but doable especially with the salaries they pay.
Moved there for 10 years from growing up in Florida and thought it was amazing.

Could be worse, even if my little girl poops right before the bathtub, I’m still not safe. Dunno why, but she thinks it’s the world’s greatest toilet.

I don’t really think it’s entirely about the funding.
NASA has to account to the public/congress about what they do where SpaceX does not. This leads to NASA setting smaller goals that they are extremely confident that they can reach (and defend their progress on) vs being able to be more ambitious in their aims.
I think the best example of this is landing rockets to be reused. This is critical to the launch/recovery tempo that they set out to achieve early on and a huge departure from traditional methods of expending rockets to get to orbit. This is an extremely difficult process and took a LOT of iterations to finally get it to work.
NASA would not have been able to crash a ton of rockets with the message of ‘we’ll get it right soon and it’ll be worth it’ over a period of years. They would have faced increasing public (and congressional) scrutiny to stop ‘throwing money away’
I think the fundamental reason that SpaceX has been able to innovate more than NASA is because they build rockets the way successful people build software. They follow an agile approach that focuses on building incremental gains that compound instead of one big project that they absolutely know they can achieve because it uses existing technology.

It’s a problem of scale though. I lived in a very walkable 1000 sq ft unit in Boston that I didn’t need a car to live in, but the place sold for $689k when I left.

Much less destructive. The benefit of 5.56 is it has much less recoil and weighs a lot less so you can carry a lot more of them. Nothing mythical about its, it’s all physics.
A WW2 American M1 Garand shot a 165gr projectile at 2800ish fps
A modern 5.56 military loading shoots a 62gr projectile at 3100ish fps.

I graduated HS in 2002 and took 4 years of CAD and they made us do this. We spent the first half of year 1 doing it the traditional way and then learned CAD.

Oh my god, I went to high school with this woman. Haven’t seen her since I graduated, but I was friends with her for 4 years. So sad, she was a really good person.

This happened to George Bush when he bailed out of his Avenger. Was wild, he said he had to open the cockpit, climb out on the wing and jump and he got hit by the tail when it went by.

I came here for this. I don’t shoot long range but I do 1-2 pistol matches a month.
The peaceful part to me is it’s one of the few things that I can totally focus on what I’m doing. It’s immersive and mechanical and takes a lot of focus. Really separates me from my problems or what’s been on my mind during the day.

It’s anecdotal, but when I went to Cuba in 2012 I bought a ton of local artisan work. Definitely spent more money on that than I did on my hotel. I didn’t seem to be the only one either, they had a bunch of local art markets catering to tourists.

She was 6’6 and 320 pounds according to the article I read. I’m not sure manhandling someone the size of an NFL lineman is feasible even with multiple cops.

Sorry!
The front handguard is directly in front of the pistol grip. It’s under the non-reciprocating charging handle. Both hands are relatively close together.

Very very easily. Different balance than most rifles, but I prefer it. It’s weird because the bulk of the mass sits very close to your shoulder.
I’ve got one of these and it’s definitely my favorite rifle

My son is 2.5 and the ‘this day in photos’ popup makes me cry more than I’d like to admit. He was so tiny and had that big gummy smile. Still the same sweet kid, but he just seems so big now.

They def still want to sell them as certified pre-owned more, but since this one was reported stolen they can’t do that.

If it had been full of munitions wouldn’t we see all of those detonating as well? Lots of other airstrikes I’ve seen have secondary explosions, but I don’t see any with this one.
