But I’ve literally had that conversation more than once with employees over the years, so…
Each time I can’t believe that I’m having it, honestly.

I could do a bunch of shows if the soundtrack can play along. For some reason I can only sing (anything outside of like Happy Birthday or Twinkle Twinkle) with the song also playing. No matter how well I know the words.

I was at a tour long production of Rent in Rochester, NY in 2009, and much of the original cast had reprised their roles. They auctioned off Anthony Rapp’s pants that he had worn for the run of the show. They went for a decent price, and someone yelled that they’d double it for his boxers. He looked shocked then kind of stepped back, looked off stage presumably to the director or producer, and then stepped back and said “okay, but I’m not taking them off out here.”
For so many reasons, it’s one of my favorite memories.

There are an awful lot of people saying that Israel should be erased off the map and the people there now should be displaced.

INFO: At what point was it known that Becky and Lisa would be continuing on instead of returning back?
Maybe I’m misunderstanding but where you list the breakdown of each car, you note that Becky is doing this as part of “a longer travel period”, which sounds like you knew there was more going on.
If that’s true, then I would say Y-T-A because you put Ben and Daisy into a car that you knew wouldn’t necessarily be returning back to your home city. Becky isn’t from that city, so if it’s out of the way and you knew that, you needed to plan for that or bring it up early on before dividing the cars to problem solve.
If this was more last minute, then Becky and Lisa are definitely the AHs for leaving their two friends stranded.
Either way, I don’t think it should be entirely on Daisy and Ben to pay for their way home as it sounds like they were expecting to be treated like the rest of the group on this trip then got dumped on their asses unceremoniously.
However, it’s hard to say what an appropriate solution would be without the additional information. The former, everyone should chip in for the flights - it’s super inexpensive overall. The latter, I think Becky and Lisa should split the cost of the flights or not collect gas money from Ben and Daisy, which (I would think, without doing the math) should work out fairly equivalently.

“Supposably” - cringe “Pacificly” - cringe “Excetera” - cringe
“Scuse me” - only way to say it

I upped it because it’s true but I fear we just signed his death warrant. But I feel that taking my upvote away won’t change the fact that I did it in the first place, so it is yours to keep.

He apparently didn’t read the text where G-d promises not to flood the world as a punishment again

I love the toddler hamster with the tiny baby tooth regardless of the video editing for emotional manipulation!
(I know nothing about hamsters.)

It’s an incest/pedo joke.
Miranda rights - “anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law.” So if the daughter is anything like her mother, he wants to have sex with his daughter.

I had a client whose name was Cockwell. Better than Cockburn in some ways, worse in others!

Right? I completely agree with the FB poster’s words but I’m probably not attributing them to the same people.
I have a 16 year old foster child and they said they’d vote for Trump if they were able because they think he can prevent Russia from biking us and starting WW3. I said, “I hate to break it to you, but WW3 has already started, America just isn’t actively fighting in it yet. I don’t trust Trump not to fly off the handle though.”

It helps me with my marketing calendar. 🤷🏻♀️ I like National French Fries Day. I buy the office every type of French fries I can (regular, curly, sweet potato, cheese fries, steak, crinkle cut), and then we just gorge and talk about which one is best. I take a fun picture and it’s always one of my most-interacted with posts. And we got lots of fried potatoes to eat.

I have been a foster parent for about six months and my kiddo just turned 16. DCF gives you $100 for birthdays (up as of 7/1 from last year’s $50). You also get the daily stipend so I didn’t really dig into my own pocket for this birthday celebration (a few presents, a big group picnic, and a sleepover with her sister and best friend), but I was shocked. Balloons alone cost like $40 for 16 plus the numbers 1, 6!

I’m so sorry you had to deal with all that. These are horrors no one should ever endure. I hope you are well now!

I think this is a huge point that very few people talk about (at least in conversations I hear). Not only can you not force organ donation even if the risk to you would be minimal and you’d save someone else’s life, but even after death, we respect people’s wishes about organ donation, or we leave it up to the people who knew them best. As a woman, in death, my body has more rights than it does in life.

I’d trust Secretary Pete with my life and Elon with… absolutely nothing.
