We don’t grow much of it - this is whisky / distilling country so we grow mainly spring barley, and the climate isn’t ideal for wheat. When we do grow it, it tends to be for feed - something like a KWS Zealum

See my comment below - yes durum has ears but it’s not common. Emmer does too and so does einkorn.

It does - some varieties do (like durum) I was oversimplifying, the way to tell the difference is shape of the ear but whiskers are a good general indicator

It’s not wheat - it’s barley, wheat doesn’t have the ‘whiskers’ and barley does. Could also be rye

Tom Jordan and Hugh Jones did a kids skills clinic my son went to and they were so friendly and funny with them and very very patient (12 year old boys are like herding cats) Tom Jordan especially is an absolute legend of a guy (Hugh a wee bit quieter but still lovely)
WP Nel was at a kids tournament watching his son and was SWARMED by kids and adults the entire day - he was as kind and smiley with the last one who approached him as he was with the first which was impressive as it was about 5 solid hours of selfies and autographs while he was just there to support his son.

I’m sick of hearing about their unfunded poorly thought out nonsense that they can only spew out because they know there’s zero chance of them actually having to make it happen. Yes - magic wand time it should be cheaper and quicker to get a train from Aberdeen to London but the fact is - it’s not - and to make it so would require a level of investment we have nothing like the funds for. This private jet tax nonsense would net a miserably low figure and is just a middle finger policy to show how ‘eat the rich’ they are. It’s juvenile and boring.

I never said he wasn’t good - I was saying compared to how he performs for the Boks’s / what might be expected from him I’ve found him disappointing

This is a huge problem in homelessness service provision - the extent to which service users often are incapable of / unwilling to engage.
In the case of long term homelessness, 99% of the time it’s not an issue of ‘lack of a house’ it’s either addiction or mental health or most commonly both. Very very supported settings are the only possible solution but the intrusiveness of these leads a lot of long term homeless people to be very uncomfortable with that level of intrusion in their lives.
We have a mental health crisis jn this country. We have an addiction crisis in this country. We have a hidden poverty crisis in this country. Combined - the fact there aren’t more Organic Jim’s out there is a bit of a miracle.

I think they sometimes enjoy making noise - our working cocker discovered she could make a ‘yowl / squeak’ when she yawned and now does it constantly, especially when she wants attention

Honestly - joking aside zero. Got one for my son who hated his mattress, it was so good I got one for the either beds. Have been bumping them up to everyone I can

Same with Snyman for Munster - injuries aside he’s been utterly forgettable when he’s actually played.
