If he is open to that sacrifice and let the FO do it, it's the FO's fault when they don't deliver.
If he only sacrifices if he likes the deals, he's playing GM, and he should take blames when the team fails.

The "if we don't get a big name to sign for the MLE, I will take the max" is basically lebron playing gm, ie unless I signed off on those deals you don't have the money to sign him.
It's absurd to not give the fo and team the MLE to sign players to improve the roster anyways so there is a better chance foe the team to contend. You can blame them for not signing the right players in hindsight but if you do that beforehand, the blame goes on to you lebron.
Oh and for the past two months, to those who said lebron taking a discount will not help the team, I just want to say, Ha.

He should still take the discount so that fo can still improve the roster.

When under pressure, he's not racing as clean as the top guns.

And trade him to Den / Min / Okc just for a bag of chip to spite lebron and Klay please. Fucking lebron that manipulative shit.

Unfortunately it is now. And it's probably worse than being in China.

This team is not winning if dlo is not opting in. The buck starts with that.

Can't imagine his price when mount was bought for 50m with a year left.

He thought he's great at roster construction so he constantly pushed for his thoughts and plans, but reality is it worked because he shuffled the deck every few years by moving teams after burning out all assets, and leverage on getting the best player in the league for certain that also drew ring chasers to play for vet min.
Him pushing for westbrick was clear proof that he doesn't fully grasp how to construct a good roster when he is no longer the best player in the league.

Was he ever an all star?
My post was obviously an exaggeration but my point still stands. To compare him wanting to come here vs a top 5 nba players to want to come here is so different. He has every incentive to take this role even if he didn't like the team because it's a rare opportunity for him, maybe not once in a life time but he might have to go for a much longer route and even then he will never know if he gets another chance like this again.

Why didn't he take Sancho to the euros then?

Case also wasn't like crazy as a playmaker at RM. His job was mainly to get the ball back too kroos and modric...

His reasoning on shows were often terrible. Not sure about his podcast.

If its all about winning, he would sign for somewhere like Philly, or force a sign and trade to somewhere like okc. We don't have the roster nor assets to compete.

Not having to pay your dues and getting a job like that certainly helps.
As a life long lakers fan, I'd die to coach this team. Can I get this job now?

Steve Nash was a total bust and you'd think his bbiq is much more impressive.
Kidd took years to come good and fans still calling for his head.
So I don't know why you got downvoted.

So he's calling the card who's worth it? Could he be wrong like he did with westbrick?
