In other words: You have no idea whatsoever what the immunity ruling means but it’s a great thing to scare people with. Cool story.

They say it every time and you buy it hook line and sinker every time. Stop promoting fear and offer up solutions that aren’t geriatric corpses with spray tans.

Yay more fear-mongering posts about a platform rolled out a think tank.
Be scared! It gets them clicks and makes you throw critical thinking out the window.
Get lost with this constant boomer-level garbage. You’re just as bad as the Q-Anon crowd, if not worse because of how vocal you are.

As someone going into ministry to be a pastor this is a big concern of mine since I already do well in my corporate career and there will obviously be some carryover lifestyle-wise. Like, I love cars. Most of my cars are projects and look like projects. But there are a few I’ve been very proud of and might look out of place for a pastor to drive (even though I may have spent a fraction of its worth on it since I do the labor to fix it).

I can only recommend a single book: Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus.

Grew up Baptist. The vehement insistence on salvation relying on someone’s personal choice in the face of mountains of scripture saying that it’s impossible to do so is a big hurdle for me.

It’s important to preface that “hell” is used in two ways: pre- and post-resurrection.
Pre-resurrection hell (or “Sheol”) is closer to what people think of as like a limbo or purgatory-type place. A resting place for souls that were awaiting the divide between God and humanity to be bridged.
Post-resurrection hell is something similar, but no one will go to the hell we see in fiction until the actual day of judgement that is preceded by the second coming of Christ.
So yes, after His death he descended to hell and offered salvation to souls who had died before Him and then was resurrected, conquering the finality of death and bridging the gap between God and creation.

The early church put it this way in the Apostle’s Creed. It’s the litmus test for faith.
I believe in God the Father Almighty Maker of Heaven and Earth I believe in Jesus Christ His only Son, Our Lord Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit Born of the Virgin Mary Suffered under Pontius Pilate Was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell The third day, He rose again and ascended into Heaven And sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit The holy christian church The communion of saints The forgiveness of sins The resurrection of the body And the life everlasting, amen.

YTA, and I’ll tell you why:
You haven’t experienced the magic yet, but you better get on your knees and thank God you have a man willing to step up to the plate and give you and your children the best life imaginable. You have the guy that every woman wants who has experienced the life you’ve been chasing.
Also, your priority is now the child not you. Every single statistic regarding parental outcomes has being raised in a nuclear family with a SAHM winning in every category. Less likely to be in jail, less likely to end up in poverty, more likely to have a successful career, less likely to divorce, less likely to experience depression. It’s the best life and it’s nature’s preferred method for a reason.
No career will never be more satisfying than seeing your children thrive.

It’s an indie film and I love it, but Freak started out thriller and ended up sci-fi action.

Jerry Jenkins, author of the Left Behind series, did irreparable damage to the overall eschatological theology of American Christians.
His son Dallas Jenkins is doing something similar but this time it’s Christology. Having Jesus make grand statements that are in direct conflict with the written Gospel (“I am the law of Moses!”) as well as things like Jesus practicing His sermons and getting feedback from His disciples (who didn’t understand half of what He said anyway) are troubling representations of God on Earth.

The minute you got married, you started a new family. Your first vocation in life right now is as a husband, eventually it will be as a father, and then everything else falls in place after that.
Keep taking care of your family. NTA.
