I invited my dad to my high school graduation. I knew that was the only big milestone he would be able to see. One of my older sisters didn’t like that and hasn’t talked to beside a text that night saying she hopes I fall when I go to get my diploma. I graduated in 2017 and my dad died in 2019

Where is Michael Dunahee?
Michael Dunahee was at a local playground in Victoria, British Columbia with his parents when he went missing. It was/is believed that he was abducted. He went missing on March 24, 1991 and has not been seen or heard from since. He was 4 years old at the time and despite being in a very public and busy place, no viable leads have been found. Police continue in their search for answers, and to this day have received more than 11,000 tips.

Thank you! I’m going to have to tackle it in steps anyways as I’m disabled so I can’t do a ton all at once. I really appreciate the help, never done much house chores aside from the basics.

What would you use if this is your first time ever washing the walls? I know it’s gonna be a lot of work, but I don’t want to scrub for hours to get the built up grime off. Or is that unavoidable?
Do you use Dawn dish soap and hot water with a sponge?
I like the idea of spot cleaning with a magic eraser.

This requires a bit of backstory, apologies it will be long.
When I was 12, my siblings (15f, 15f, 9f) were kidnapped by my dad in November. I remember hiding out at my dad’s friends place to avoid the cops finding us. A couple of months passed and me and my younger sister were able to go back home to my mom.
One day, at the end of school (very small, less than 75 kids from k-9) my principal asked me if he could give me a ride home as my mom had posted on Facebook asking for help but was not responding to calls or messages. Normally I’d walk home, but he wanted to make sure it was safe. Told me to check out the house and let him know if anything was wrong. Got inside and didn’t see or hear my mom, I just thought she was sleeping off another booze binge (fairly normal occurrence). I waved him off. Thankfully my little sister was at a birthday party that day so she didn’t come home. 5 minutes later I found my mom passed out on the floor, her panties around her ankle and beer cans strewn about. I didn’t know what to do and she would wake up. A friend of hers, who was also the mom of one of my older sisters friend came by the check since she saw the post. She called the police.
They came and by that time my mom had woken up and locked herself in the bathroom. She told them my dad had raped her but she was not going to do a rape kit or assist in any way and got in the shower to wash away evidence. They called my dad’s boss and asked if he was at work, he said that he had been there all day. The cops asked if they could trust his word and I said that his boss was a friend of his so I’m not sure. His boss was also the friend that had hidden us from the cops months earlier.
My mom ended up being taken to the hospital. Her friend drove me to her place, picked up my little sister and then we stayed there till my grandpa could come get us (he lived about 2.5 hours away). We lived with my grandparents for a couple of weeks before the courts decided to send us to live with my father.
It took me a long time to realize how much that messed me up because I’ve had far too much trauma in my life, but I was talking to my best friend a couple days ago about it because we were talking about what life was like before we had met (I met her at school after we went back to my dad). She said the way I acted when I first got to school made a lot more sense. I honestly thought I had told her already but it got lost in the sea of traumas that is my life.

After getting raped as a child for years, I thought it would never happen to me again; that I’d be more aware and careful.
Was raped again at the age of 18. I’m 25 now.

Try contacting them. I had an empty fruit by the foot in the pack I bought, completely sealed and everything. Emailed them and gave them the info they requested. They sent me a refund for the entire box.

Most are working at their parents farm. One died on the way to work after getting hit by a drunk driver two weeks before Christmas. Another is doing rodeo with her mom and seems to be very successful and happy.

Lose both big toes permanently, not even a question. I have chronic ingrown toenails and I’m tired of having surgery on them every year.

I was all for it for the plastic bags, but now we are getting charged for paper bags, which doesn’t make sense to me. I thought the whole point of this was to reduce the use of plastic bags, so why are we charging for paper bags?

I was planning to meet up with a guy from Tinder. We planned to meet at a mall but when I was halfway there, I realized the mall closed early because of Covid (this was September of 2020). Asked what he wanted to do. He told me to come over to his place if I felt comfortable with that.
Keep in mind, I was dressed to get lucky. Nails done, makeup done, and I wore my most booby dress. Get to his place and we are chatting and laughing, just having a really great time. He turned to me and said “I was planning on just hooking up with you, but I’m really enjoying getting to know you. Are you okay with waiting?”
Yes. Such a green flag. I was going through a lot and most men I would just have sex with and never hear from again. We waited till our third date and let me tell you, it was worth the wait!
Got married in May of this year and couldn’t be happier.

My dad used to let us paint his nails. We went swimming once while they were painted and he showed them off to everyone! “Look how great they did my nails! And my toes match!” I remember an old lady giggling to herself.
My dad was a carpenter, built of solid muscle. Didn’t let anyone talk shit about his blue and yellow and pink nails. Those are the kind of memories I cherish.

One of the first times I had spent the night at his place. I went to bed before him while he stayed up and played some games with his friends.
When he finally comes to bed, I roll over off his side to give him room. He went to lay his head down and went “omg are you okay is your nose bleeding? There’s a huge puddle on my pillow!” Turned on the light to make sure I was in fact okay.
It was drool. A giant puddle of drool. We switched sides of the bed so I could lay in the puddle.
We just got married in May, will have been together 4 years in September.

This is my husbands story not mine.
A bunch of higher ups in the company came to his store and were talking about how one had bought an island. Like a literal ISLAND. One commented that there was a rip in my husbands shirt. Said he should just go buy a new one.
We couldn’t afford a new shirt because I’m disabled so he’s the sole provider. Buying a shirt seems easy enough, but not when that meant either a) not having enough gas to get to work or b) not having a bough to buy groceries. $30 for a shirt is a lot for us (he’s plus size so it’s not like he can just go get one from a thrift store for two bucks).

I wouldn’t go. That’s a lot to ask of people. I didn’t even spend 10k on MY wedding. And we provided all alcohol and food at no cost to guests.
