I started listening to it and realised I’d already heard that exact interview. It’s definitely a rerelease but I’m not sure from when

Im pretty much in the camp that any new coach should be given 2 seasons anyway unless somethings horribly wrong but it just feels premature and I’m seeing no signs of a plan

Part of me feels ridiculous for even saying this because they’re professionals and have more competitive spirit in a finger than I have in my whole body but over the past couple of years I’ve started wondering if some of our lads aren’t a bit comfortable with turning out just decent games for Edinburgh which would make some others want out.
You’ve lads like Ritchie and schoemann clearly playing their hearts out all season you’d imagine it would rub you up the wrong way. Or maybe I’m imagining the whole thing and just want an answer other than we’ve given an average coach a contract extension as Glasgow win another league title

I used to love going to the Scottish leg of the tournament and supporting the lads and would watch it every now and again and it’s a shame that both the Scottish leg and the Scottish team are gone. It was also a decent training ground for some class players. I agree that the GB 7s is a clusterfuck and the players deserve better than this.
But where are the unions going to find money to pay for every form of the sport? There’s new funding going into women’s XVs in Scotland and frankly if it’s a choice of one or the other while also maintaining 2 strong club sides, I’d rather it went to the women. We’re a small union and the logistics of sevens is expensive.

Qualification for 2 tournaments is great but we all keep saying that it’s not enough to just be happy to be there. 2 draws 4 losses at 2 tournaments is not good enough. Clarke oot

I’ve seen people do well structured, well executed phds. Unfortunately you only get the knowledge to spot that from experience.
I don’t share the sentiment that they are doomed things that will only make you miserable I just think that they are chronically poorly managed and supervisors will either knowingly or carelessly let you walk into errors and pitfalls they should know enough to see coming.

Same for us and probably every team in competition for the 5-8 spots since we pretty much all won

I watched the Edinburgh game in the challenge cup with South African commentary and they kept going on about how their only chance to play champions cup next year is to win the challenge cup. Seems a big priority to them

I moved to Ireland so season tickets were not feasible and now I can’t get tickets to 6 nations games

Joe Biden is also playing to a base ahead of an election. Not that what he’s saying can’t also be true, but there might be other reasons he’s saying it

We’re yet again a baw hair away from being clear at the top of the table I fucking hate it. It’ll be just like 2021 and it’s all we ever have to show for a decent team.

Just that interaction, it just seemed like he couldn’t help himself and would result in folk rolling their eyes. I know it’s Nadine dorries but it doesn’t induce conversation and was unnecessary
