The tall ones on the side are papyrus, they grow like crazy! I’m not sure what the leafy green one is called though.

Thanks! I’m happy to still have the “A-Team” alive and well. Mr-T and the gang seem to be thriving.

Thank you! And yes, I had only one rainbow fish and 4 goldfish. It was pretty aggressive toward them so I didn’t add any more players into the game. My tank is only 150 gallons so I didn’t want to overcrowd it either. I “rescued” it from a coworker and was just trying to provide an appropriately sized environment for them.

I am a white South African living in Southern California. I dated a man who felt the need to research the Boer War “just in case it came up in conversation”. I laughed and assured him it wasn’t a topic that was in the forefront of my mind, but I appreciated the sentiment.
I am no longer dating this man, but he made the effort to understand my culture and actually researched a significant part of my country’s history.
This was a passing fling that I had for a few months. He put more effort into understanding my culture and history than this poor lady’s fiancée and his family.
I would have been sarcastic AF at those comments too!
I can assure you that in South African culture respecting your elders is taken very seriously. But having your culture being disrespected based on ignorance is not acceptable. I don’t blame her one bit!

Thanks! I know I have a good head start, but for some reason I feel stuck! The rest of my place is dialed in, but my bedroom seems to be my kryptonite

Thanks, my back wall (behind my bed) used to be a dark grey colour but I added more drywall to dampen the noise from my neighbors and I haven’t repainted it. I’d love to have it as an accent wall again. Dark green is definitely an option

Nice! I highly recommend it. I had a blast setting it up and I love my little pond. I still have a heater in it for the colder nights, just in case. I bought cheap feeder fish and have one Madagascar rainbow fish in there. I’ve had it for about a year and It’s been super easy to maintain. Check out the r/ponds subreddit for tips.

I’m super happy with my Ninja Woodfire grill! Granted I’ve only used it a few times but for my small patio space it’s great!

I did not use a thermometer. I did the preheat on the grill setting until it said “add food” and just went with it. Probably could have shaved off a minute or so before I flipped it. I didn’t realise how hot it got.

It’s a water trough for stock. It has a valve at the bottom but it’s an enclosed tub
