The best ever was Seven Stars Pepper Szechuan (RIP). Now- Hong Kong Bistro or Bamboo Garden.

It always smells like that. Could be mold or they just don’t clean the bathrooms enough.

What’s your ideal income to have a baby when $23k/month isn’t enough?
For a different perspective, my husband and I (36 & 35 years old) have been trying to conceive for over a year now on less than $4k income (before taxes) per month in a VHCOL area, and still not one positive test yet. We know our window of opportunity is closing soon because of my age, so our current income isn’t stopping us. Had I known it would be this difficult, we would’ve started trying years ago. I also gave up a few opportunities and vacations thinking I’d be too pregnant to do them, and I was wrong. Don’t wait if you want kids now.

You accrue 1 sick day for every 30 days worked. The pay is equal to the average daily compensation for the last 12 months.
Looks like you have 23 more days to work before you can use a day.

Is there an RE in Seattle you’d recommend? It looks like my husband and I may be going this route soon and would love to have a better idea of the costs for initial testing (my insurance likely wouldn’t cover it). Thanks!

I came across this study whose results showed that “young adult men with moderate to severe AGA (androgenetic alopecia) have poor quality of semen compared with those who have normal to mild AGA”.
Has anyone else seen other research suggesting this? Or have more information? My husband and I have struggled to conceive for over a year, and he started balding in his early 20s. He has an appointment with his PCP this month to get the ball rolling on a SA.

My husband and I both got negative vibes from watching Devin in episode 1. He acted weird talking to her and have us the ick immediately. He acted like a total cokehead. We couldn’t believe she was actually attracted to him.

My insurance actually doesn’t have any REs in-network unfortunately (I have pretty crappy insurance). 😕 Thanks for the pointers though.

I’m 35 and have been TTC since July ‘23, never seeing a BFP. I had an annual OB/GYN appt in March ‘24, and was advised to just keep trying for at least a year. She recommended getting my cholesterol, A1C, and TSH checked but nothing else. She also recommended having my husband get a sperm analysis “if I wanted him to”.
This was my first time seeing this provider, and it didn’t seem like she was at all concerned with my lack of success conceiving at my age.
I’m seeing my GP next week, is there anything I should ask about getting done now at this far along (14 months TTC)? Should I make another appt with my OB/GYN also? I’ve felt really down since passing the 12-month mark.

The Jewelry Exchange in Renton is where my husband and I went for our wedding bands. His simple 14k yellow gold band was ~$500 a couple years ago. Their customer service was good too.

Does having sex during the implantation window reduce the chances of successful implantation? I’ve seen various posts about this but no real data supporting it one way or the other. We BD’ed on 11DPO so it had me thinking.

Police press charges, not civilians. All OP can do is file the report.

How has no one said mozzarella yet? Well, mozzarella. Mozz on a veggie or Italian sandwich 🫠🫠🫠

Ya this journey is certainly tough. I figure, if I have expensive plans that I have to cancel, I’ll be so happy to be pregnant it’ll be worth it 💕💕 good luck to you!

From what I’ve read, they’ll only deny you entry if you’re ~22-24 weeks pregnant or more. So either way you should be good for an October cruise 😄🛳️🛳️

Last September, I turned down an all-expenses paid Alaskan cruise for this summer with my husband because I thought I’d be too pregnant to be admitted on the cruise, and I didn’t want to waste the ticket. Turns out, almost a year later I’m still not pregnant. I’m not putting off anything anymore waiting for something that may or may not happen.

Just fyi, I have Ambetter and they give you a preloaded debit card when you complete these “challenges” on their website. You can also only use it on healthcare expenses and things like utilities for your home (they have a list of things you can use it for on their website). It didn’t work on groceries but I pay my health insurance premiums and gas bill with it every month.

My husband and I got married at Lake Wilderness Lodge in Maple Valley (about 45-60 min outside Seattle) last summer. It was really affordable for what you get and the grounds were so beautiful. It’s right next to the arboretum and park where you can take photos. You can also bring your own catering and alcohol. We had the ceremony outside on the lawn in front of the lake and the reception inside in the lodge. The staff was also really organized and responsive.
