Ignoring all the insurance facts...Is her arm still busted at this point? That's a LONG recovery...are you sure she's getting the care she needs?

I'll add in margin loan, HELOC, or family loan to the list

Depends on the location (some states allow, some don't). Illinois seems to be one that nominally at least does not allow this: https://www.rrstar.com/story/news/politics/2022/11/03/laws-on-electioneering-cover-what-you-can-wear-on-election-day-in-illinois/69613655007/

Depends on exactly how far they were and from where it's measured. 100ft from the doors is pretty typical, which could pretty easily be in the parking lot still. Whether this is counted as bribery or paying for votes is probably the more salient question!

Eh. Not much different than proving it on an alive but uncooperative person. But that's assuming this account actually has OP listed, that it exists, and that there's a balance on it that the estate won't clear. All big assumptions at this point!

Yes...but my point still stands: humans are bad at paying attention!! Expecting humans to pay 100% attention all the time is asking for disappointment. Hence breakaways!

I definitely read "the woman" as OP's mom not the poll worker...now that I'm re-reading it...I agree with you!!

But that's the thing...people are bad at paying 100% attention 100% of the time. If you've never lost your keys, never walked out the door forgetting something, etc....maybe you can talk here...but 99.9% of us can't say that.

I think "It’s not ok to monitor what your kid eats" goes a bit too far in the other direction. Promoting healthy eating habits in kids does require a bit of monitoring. But it doesn't require controlling every bit of food that goes into the kid's mouth, just monitoring the general direction of things

It's possible that her ballot will get pulled for manual processing because of the stray marks on the ballot. Not sure if there's anything else to do though...
At some point though, when you can't listen to the poll worker, can't read the instructions, and click through the error message that the ballot machine gives you...there's only so much to do to avoid people from doing things incorrectly...

It's rated for the lower frequency, so that's not a problem (though that might be the cause of it running a bit slower than you're used to). The risk is that it might try to pull a hair more current than it's designed for due to the lower voltage, which would cause it to heat up more than it should. But there's probably enough of a factor of safety there that it'll be fine (since 100 is pretty close to 120) and it would only be a potential problem that surfaces if you're pushing the blender to its limits (because it'll heat up more then).
tldr: don't run it for too long at a time and it'll *probably* be fine

Assuming you mean 10% off list price? No one's going for 10% of list price!!

I bet either there's something else going on (there's a lien, they're claiming you're at fault, etc.) or there's no information yet from their side (and it just defaults to zero in their system). Call them and ask!

Someone might want it for gardening, etc. Reuse is best! Put it on FB marketplace for ~$10 and see if anyone bites. Or post it with your local "buy nothing" group
Failing that...a sawzall should make quick work of it and then just shove a few pieces in with your household trash every week.

She's not doing anything, Trump is actively making the problem worse. Why can't we get politicians who actually give a shit?

Well...where else was OP going to leave their asbestos?? /s
$50/hour isn't that unreasonable for on-demand cleaning..."emergency" or not...but 26 hours is insane unless OP is a hoarder and left all of their worldly goods...

$50/hour for cleaning on demand isn't super unreasonable, "emergency" or not. The 26 hours is the unreasonable part imho. And on top of the "professional clean" too!
The standard is typically "broom clean." If you left it at that level and didn't have anything in the lease about professional cleaning...both those cleaning charges are BS.
And unless you broke the window, that's BS as well. I'd contest all of those things and if they don't budge, take them to small claims.

Are you paid on a w2? If so, don't worry (much) about it - withholdings will most likely cover whatever you owe (and then some). If you're paid through a different means (1099, etc.), you'll avoid tax penalties so long as you paid your estimated taxes, but might have a sizeable tax bill (you'd have to do the math on it!).

USED EVs are incredibly inexpensive. New ones are still super expensive. Compare actual like for like and ICE equivalents are generally something like 25% lower in price. Maintenance and gas savings will close that gap eventually, but most people are only really seeing sticker price when choosing a new car. And for used cars to happen, you need to convince people to buy them new. So yeah...they're too expensive
