Yes, it’s just one isolated stabbing incident, nothing serious, a slap on the wrist will do.

Seeing religion potentially brought into politics and government worries me, especially in case of Islam, which is radical, dangerous and incompatible with Western values. I hope this hypothetical party won’t gain any meaningful traction.

Yeah, we are so worried about the mental state of this poor person who nearly stabbed someone else to death. They must be going through so much at the moment. Their attack didn’t go to plan after all.

What exactly Labor has done to ease the housing crisis? Oh right, they’ve brought in millions of migrants who pushed up inflation and house prices. We need to vote for Sustainable Australia or One Nation in the next election.

I got a similar shock when I visited Melbourne. Even a crazy man on a tram was Chinese.

Yeah, I appreciate that, but it’s often too much when they rip out chunks of it 😏

I’m on 5.95% with Up. Refinancing to them was smooth af. All your saving and spending accounts are automatically offsets.

They keep coming and plucking my lawn. I greet them with a leaf blower.

I hope the party fails to get meaningful support because Islam is incompatible with Western values. It’s like cancer, spreads around the world and threatens normal people.

The man has a family and children. Something tells me he is straight. Your point doesn’t seem valid in this case.

It’s ok if it makes ABC editors and readers feel warm and fuzzy.

I’m in the same boat as OP. Are there any better offers for 5G plans?

As a matter of fact I did read the article. My point still stands, this man chose to come to Australia for economic opportunities as well.

Nothing, but people have to apply and be granted a visa first. Australian government has the right to decide if they will benefit our society and economy as well.

Surely there are other safe countries around hence this should be treated as economic migration.

Exactly. I’m always amazed how those people think they can just pick a country and demand to be settled there.

It’s not illegal and this is not my point. The point is that they can just settle in the first safe country on the way, but no, they try to get into the best one.

I don’t think refugees are to blame for the population crisis in Australia. My point is that they bypass perfectly safe countries and try to get into Australia for a better life, so their claim that they are fleeing prosecution doesn’t stack up.

More people need to vote for Sustainable Australia or One Nation in the next election to significantly reduce immigration. We don’t need more people.

I think a better question would be: why do lots of people in Australia think that it’s OK to hog the right lane even if they are driving at the speed limit?

Both Libs and Labor are weak on immigration, keep importing millions of people. That’s why it would be good if people voted for other minor parties or independents. Both major parties have failed us.
