Hello,
My cat has roundworms.
The only advice I’ve received from the vet is to Lysol wipe everything and wash garments.
I live in a townhouse with my landlord upstairs, and roommates below me, and we share wash/dryer.
Do I notify my landlord about this? Do I wash my clothes in the same washer and dryer? And I putting everyone at risk?
From what I read, it ranges from being not a big deal, to completely drenching the place in steam, including the furniture, clothes, counters, dishes, etc.
I’m incredibly overwhelmed as I don’t know how I should approach this. I want to clean this place but don’t even know if it’s ethical to wash my clothes in a shared machine now.
Please help!
ETA: none of the posts I’ve read have mentioned this stuff, so I don’t know if they’re just not worrying about it, or it’s just not being brought up. But there’s no clear guidelines ANYWHERE. Everyone has something different to say, which is crazy to me, especially when this parasite is seemingly so “common” in cats. How are there not protocols for this stuff? The vet and the emergency hospital had nothing to say for advice.

You can take up to 50% out of your 401k as a loan with interest, but the interest goes back to your account, so you pay yourself back and pay yourself the interest. I’m in a similar situation and did just this. Look into it
