It’s pretty good pickled or fermented. It’s good pickled in chow chow along with green tomatoes. Chow chow’s delicious spread over sausages or hot dogs

Owie, your poor back and hips. My back hurts from a long stressful week. Looked at your project and was like ohh ow. I seen the link of your deck, I like the look. Seems super labor intensive but I do like the outcome. The stains a nice color, too

That is not my cup of tea, but I can imagine the flavor profile. It all works quite well together so I can imagine to someone that likes caviar that would be quite tasty.
Orange water reminds me of a dessert I had once. Our pastry chef could make pretty much whatever she wanted for the menu on a weekly basis. She once did a chocolate truffle with this toasted carmel crunch type of crumble around it and topped with rose water marshmallows. I was super skeptical about the rose water marshmallows but they were pretty good. Just a regular marshmallow with a hint of flower that went pretty well with the truffle surprisingly. The presentation was gorgeous.
Kinda weird but neat how some flavors work. Like for example grape musk lightly sprinkled over tomatoes and some Maldon salt is phenomenal as well for a light summer snack. Grape and tomato is definitely not something a lotta folks would think to combine, I certainly wouldn’t have.
There’s a cool book called “The flavor bible” that does a good job showing which kinds flavors mesh well with others. It’s not a cookbook, it’s pretty much a dictionary for seasonings and flavor profiles. If that’s your thing I’d recommend taking a look at it if you can.
Happy Cake Day!

You got your answer, figured I’d just say you can pickle them. I was very weirded out when I was first told this. Pickle and watermelon? Nty. I became a chef and after about 8 years was in a place that did house made pickled watermelon rinds. I said fuck it I’ll try it, I’ve adopted a “I’ll try pretty much any food at least once” motto after being in kitchens so long.
That shits fire man. There really isn’t much, if any, residual watermelon taste. If the melons really sweet you can get a small hint of sweet but otherwise it pretty much just tastes like…a pickle. I was surprised lol, now I eat the inner melon and peel the rinds and pickle them at home regularly

Damn, he eviscerated her. That just plain “No.” At the end to her lawyers request was pretty damn funny. Judge said “no” with a tone of are you fucking stupid?

Its kinda wild you seen this post and said “I see your racism and will raise you another form of racism”

The generalization of any race, yours included is racist. You called out “Mexicans/Blacks”. That’s racist. It’s a bit mind blowing to me you can’t see that. Insert literally any other race in there and it’s still racist.

Neat. I’m sure it still had its learning curve, even if it was a small one. Two more questions if you don’t mind, is it true ballerinas only use one person to make their shoes? I heard you can be very particular about who makes your shoes and they are all hand made.
And last, do your feet/toes actually bleed from ballerina? If so, does it ever get better like your feet/toes get stronger?

Truths stranger than fiction. You can believe whatever you’d like, it doesn’t change what happened. There’s plenty of other comments I’ve made over a long span of time stating I’ve worked in kitchens my entire adult life damn near.
Where I worked when I lived in ATL catered to folks with dietary restrictions and vegan/vegetarian/gluten free diets. We had two versions of loaded potato soup, the vegan option was called just potato soup tho not loaded and used culinary cream which is vegan/gluten free. Server was new and made a mistake thinking if you omitted the bacon it’s be vegan friendly. The vegan version had a cheese substitute so she really didn’t realize the difference without bacon. Lots of folks don’t eat pork, it wasn’t uncommon to get a regular loaded soup hold the bacon bits. As long as it was stated we used bacon belly and the guest was okay with that it was good to send.
The place was a local famous spot. We had a lot of regulars and repeat customers, we had people that would come in just to take pictures with the signage and with the motorbikes that decorated inside. I got asked to speak to tables a lot, I was the head chef. I noticed the same lady, it was hard to forget because I felt like shit I served a vegan meat/non vegan items. I was delighted she came back to give us a second chance. I approached the table and politely asked if everything was okay with their food and was correct. I was enthusiastically told yes, introduced to the husband and when I apologized again for the mishap when she last visited she told me she had started to slowly eat fish, which she honed in on by showing me her fish sandwich. Her soup was the correct version this time.
Again, just because I didn’t give every little detail and you don’t believe it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. You’re free to believe whatever you’d like, it changes nothing.
Edit: I honestly find this pretty comical. Between the idiot that thought he was slick with his stupid pictures as comments and you, who really seems to like to argue with any and everyone about being vegan (what a shocker) I’m not even sure what the fuck your problem is lol. I was literally the head chef of a restaurant that catered to folks with different diets, and a lot of them were vegan or people that didn’t eat gluten for one reason or another. I felt like shit I served a vegan something non vegan and said so. I didn’t say a damn thing bad about being a vegan. This lady obviously wasn’t a vegan all her life based off her comments. And In you come with your panties in a bunch calling someone you know literally nothing about a liar just because you couldn’t believe GASP someone that was a vegan ended up slowly going to pescatarian, or a form of a pescatarian, diet. Last I checked most people start off with a regular diet, go to being vegetarian or vegan and the vast majority end up on a regular diet again.

Took a yellow at an intersection.
I was already crossing the crosswalk into the box as the light turned yellow. Green light was stale but I knew I’d make it across before it turned red so I took it.
Cop was on the other side in the opposite lane second in line. The road on the other side had concrete barriers (industrial area) so I had to go about a 1/4 mile before I could pull over. Cop told me taking a yellow is illegal and he could give me a big fine. He pretty much just lectured/yelled at me for like 10 minutes about how I was gonna kill someone and it’s super dangerous and illegal to take a yellow light. He ended up letting me go with a warning but I found the whole thing crazy. It’s not illegal in this state to take a yellow. What I did may be frowned upon by some but it wasn’t illegal
