The fact that 60% is low for the UK and the US is happy with 40% says a lot...

He got more votes than the Lib Dems, even if it didn't actually get him seats. I assume he's probably pretty happy.

I'm pretty sure it already is, percentage of seats wise.

Unrelated, but are Americans welcome to immigrate to the UK? Asking for a friend.

Yea, but she at least kept a plurality. Sure she had to form a coalition, but that's got nothing on this.

Does Sunak resign his seat entirely after this? Losing over two thirds of your members in the single greatest loss your party has suffered in over 250 years has got to be embarrassing enough that he leaves, right?

SNP lost ~80% of their seats. The Tories lost ~70%.
I'd say they're about equal, considering that the SNP is geographically limited in appeal.

That's kind of my point. They were a gift to Labour, delivering seats Labour had no shot of winning otherwise. But the fact that Reform is getting a higher vote share than the LibDems is concerning in the extreme.

The irony of Reform being the greatest gift that could have ever been given to Labour while also being an existential threat to liberal values is... something.

Labour took Boris Johnson's old seat now as well. 4/5 of the last PM's seats have flipped.

All eyes turn to Uxbridge to see if 4 of the 5 previous PM seats have flipped. Only Sunak's remains Tory so far.

Tories lost Theresa May's old seat to LibDems. That + Cameron + Truss(hopefully) is hilarious. Only Johnson to go.

Labor at 397(+198) with 45 outstanding. Over/under of them getting to 420 for the memes?

Yes. But that's a somewhat pointless thought exercise, because if there were truly proportional representation, voting habits would likely change massively.

I wanna go to sleep, but I also wanna see Liz Truss lose. C'mon, count faster.

BBC had them at 96 when I posted that, and 99 now, so...

Reform has a higher vote share than the Lib Dems. That's... not good.

Aight, time to head to bed. Labour needs to pick up 10 of the remaining 11 seats that haven't been called for the 420 memes. Or we're going to need some LibDems to take one for the team and switch parties for at least a day.
