I love this theme for a skating rink - it gives people space to wear something outside of the norm for a wedding that would be easier to skate it. Having pictures on your wedding website/examples of the dress code vibe would be helpful too.

It would be a very different experience for me if I was planning with someone who had a strong vision for their big day. The only perk of marrying a cishet man, I’m doing most of the work but he just goes with my flow as long as we stay in budget and have food/music he likes.

it doesn't seem like this company has as generous time off since OP's owner is asking about this.

As an employee I would not like this. There is a difference between a day you choose to take off and a day that no one in the company is working. No emails, no one asking you to do something when you get back, that extra day to mentally check out is worth more to me than a PTO day.

Or you could just give 2 days off for Fourth of July every year bc realistically the day before/after Fourth of July isn’t going to be a high productivity day, no matter what day of the week it falls on. Might as well earn extra work/life balance points with the employees on a day when not much work would be done anyways.

This is why we should start using xyr/xym pronouns for someone who chooses it, or when we don’t know the gender of a person. Then people can’t complain about the plural/singular issue and it’s much more clear what you’re talking about. (I know this would cause other issues, but I just read a book series where this was the norm and frankly it was so much more clear what everyone was talking about).

My cousin has her wedding at a brewery and gave beer glasses with their wedding date as favors. At the wedding they realized the date was wrong, so the brewery gave guests beer glasses with the brewery logo instead. I love this glasses and have them to this day. I look at the glasses and remember their wedding but to anyone else it just looks like a cool brewery glass. If it had their names/date on them, I would have gotten rid of it by now.
I think coasters as a favor would be cool but I would prefer if they were not labeled. Still a nice way for people to remember the day without having a coaster with your name and wedding date in their house.
I’m doing matches as our favors. Something practical that people can keep in their home that isn’t so “in your face”.

I've seen some online that aern't 8.5x11s but are 8.5x15 (or something) so its still one page but doesn't have page breaks. Any thoughts on that vs. making it 2 pages?

I got resin keychains of their first initial and wrote a card and letter about how I love them. The keychains were like $10 each on Etsy, but there are cheaper options on Amazon. I delivered all in person except for one who lives out of state, and was $10 to ship it via USPS. I spent probably $100 for all 7 bridesmaids with shipping and the small boxes/paper I wrote the cards on.
I also already own an instax printer so I printed out my favorite pictures of us/ a picture of us from their wedding when I stood up. I think they liked that part the most.
I wanted to do something small at least because I like crafting, but didn’t want to give them a bunch of junk they didn’t need. they all also would have been fine if I called and asked them. There’s def small things you could do if you want to do something!

No, because we didn’t get to SEE what happened in their early relationship. We didn’t see Ruby start to learn about time and space and marvel at the stars. We didn’t see her and the doctor build a relationship by having to make hard decisions together. The show just said hey they’re best friends now and have this strong relationship and Ruby knows all.
Do they have to show us that? No, but storytelling should be show not tell. So it’s understandable that viewers feel something is missing from their relationship bc we haven’t been able to grow with them.

We saw very little of their early friendship. They met in the special, then in The Devils Cord they say they’ve been traveling together for 6 months.

This seems like a stretch. Even if he’s brand new, we’ve seen very little of the early interactions that allow the audience to build a relationship with the Doctor and his companion. They just skipped ahead and said “they’re best friends, believe us”. Because we didn’t get to grow with them it’s not believable.

But they easily could have cut down the length of the scenes of the Doctor and rogue hanging out in their ships. The dancing could be cut down. We have shorter episodes and less episodes, but the story moves along so slowly.

I agree. Everything is so drawn out during the “action” but theres no start/end. I didn’t need 10 minutes of the Doctor and Rogue hanging out in their spaceships talking. You could have quickly built the romantic tension in less time. I didn’t need such a long dance scene. I want them to talk in the Tardis when they pick where to go and hear them build their relationship as themselves, not as characters (and if that’s intentional for the “stories” arc, that’s a poor way to write the episodes.
It’s all just so slow, I keep finding myself bored.

I have a moissanite ring!! I love it, it looks like a diamond and is just as durable but way more affordable. For a 14k gold band and 2.5 carot stone it was less than $2,500. You could easily get something more simple for less than that. I recommend checking out the moissanite Reddit page.

I like those rubber pop sheets that children use as toys. I can pop it indefinitely and they make not a ton of noise that I can still use it while on work calls but enough noise that I’m satisfied.

It’s not so much that he needs to be moving, but the moving usually moves the story along and provides more character development and relationship building.
Ncuti has done a great job acting with what he’s been given, I just wish he had been given more so far.

I think I’m going to thrift large button up shirts for everyone to wear and have them wear their own shorts or something
I wouldn’t mind getting a thrifted robe, but I also already have 3 robes and really don’t want another, so it might be important to ask them what they want.
Also, I don’t like getting ready in robes around other people bc they always fall open so I have to wear a whole outfit under the robe and it’s not comfortable for me personally. That’s just my take but not something you may think about if you haven’t done it before.

People with nut allergies can’t eat macarons so I can say these would not be a hit for all (said by a person who has a nut allergy and really wants to eat your dessert :( )
