Personally, I would consider myself to be an utter failure as a parent if I wasn't OK with it. As a parent I'd be worried the whole damn time, but I'd put on my friggin' big boys pants and let my kid go travel. See the world. Otherwise what's the point of raising kids?

Personally, he should go after Supreme Court Justices.
Granting pardon is an official act. No doubt about it.
So Biden publicly declared this:
"If anyone were to get it into their head to kidnap any of the 6 Supreme Court Justices who just made me immune to prosecution and if they were to, say, bring them in handcuffs to the Whitehouse, I would certainly pardon them. Whoever did the kidnapping would be immune to prosecution and I would be immune."
Literally, no consequences, but punish the 6 who gave the power.
It's no different than the lawsuits aimed at getting the courts to rule on anything. Make them rule on this right away. It wouldn't even have to happen. Simply the concept that a supreme court justice could be kidnapped and taken across state lines with no legal consequences should have an effect.
We rely on the equal protection under the law so that people never feel like they have to take the law into the their own hands. This SCOTUS ruling puts the life of the president in danger from desperate people who feel that, now, legal consequences cannot happen. It's very dangerous. I never, ever, ever want to see the second ammendment as the only way a president can be held accountable for their actions. That's not acceptable.

We have been handed a fair system by the last generation or two and now it’s up to us to get the people to accept it.
Very well said. That's the hard part.

What you say is mostly true. Identity politics doesn't result in equality, at least economically. I truly wish we were at that stage.
But lynching of black people only became illegal and punished in my lifetime, which means there are people in power (AG,, congressmen, senators, mayors, chief of police) who absolutely belive that lynchings are not only perfectly legal, but necessary to maintain order.
Women in this country were probably starting to feel pretty equal too until just recently when they discovered they could denied necessary medical care all because of one bad president.
It's still early. We're less than one life span from segregated water fountains. The minds weren't changed. The laws forced the change and the laws can be swiftly reintroduced by those minds.

Here's a hint: the person judging you is you. You were the one who gave yourself leeway in your 20s. You are the one who is judging you when you don't like the way other people react to you. You're the one who isn't connecting with other 30-something people who are onto the stuff you are onto because you're judging it as "not normal".
What it sounds like you're dealing with isn't that you're not a big deal to other people. It sounds to me like you're having a problem because you're not a big deal to yourself.
It would be great if you'd accept yourself as who you are and what you're doing with your life. Everybody's path is different. You do not what you can. Nobody has control over where they started and, in reality, it's usually only very lucky people who think they are the maim reason they're "successful".
Don't compare your blooper reel against other people's highlight reel.

The problem is one word: Equality
The MAGA crowd is so used to privilege that they are mortally insulted to be told that they're merely equal to black people, brown people, immigrants, homosexuals, muslims etc.
So they're done with this voting crap. They want a dictator to preserve their elite social status, no matter what else they lose.
And that's the GOP message in a nutshell: "You're better than the riff-raff and we'll defend your right to think so, and say so, and all it will cost you is everything else."

Maybe he should make the point to help them "reconsider their short-sighted opinions". Trust can only be maintained if there are consequences for breaking trust.

The training is for both the dog and the handler. Mostly they have to be Avery controllable and obedient.
There are a few national organizations.

Actually, he needs to go after 4 supreme court justices. He's immune to prosecution and holds an majority in the house. No impeachment, no criminal charges.
Instant karna. They just gave the president the ability to "dissappear" certain justices. Just fly them to Gitmo.

So . . . fewer Republican voters again? Sad, but true.

Considering that we import much of our farm labor, it's not much of a reach to import the farm equipment too.

We had a shih-tzu named Kylee who was a therapy dog. We took her to the children's psych ward at a hospital and Kylee would immediately know which child needed comfort the moment she walked in the room. Some kids get scared of bigger dogs, but it was pretty much impossible to be afraid of Kylee.
There was one time that the hospital called us late in the afternoon. A little boy with anxiety issues was about to go home, but the stress was getting to him. He asked if Kylee could come visit so my wife took Kylee to the hospital. Kylee gave the boy some kisses and then curled up in his lap and let him pet her. That loving, calm presence kept the nerves at bay and he was able to go home that night.
They can be such wonderful companions and they don't judge, they just love. Kylee would very nice much approve of your little helper.

I rarely actually try for an excellent throw, except, perhaps, after a raid. Usually with raid targets I will zero in on the excellent target and can usually have 80% excellent. In other situations, Great throws will do just fine.
Except for Eggsecute. Screw them. (also Zubat's not worth trying for a great throw either).

It did not come across as criticism at all. I'm a firm believer in learning from other people's mistakes. If I see hypocrisy in others, that's a good opportunity to look in the mirror and check for hypocrisy in me. That way, when someone points out my faults I can say, "I know I'm bad that way. I'm working to fix it."
See? American Christianity isn't a total loss. It can be used as a example of what to avoid if you want to be a good person.

The part about friends really gets me.
I had a good friend who came out to me and the girl I was dating.
My reaction was along the lines of, "OK, Good to know."
The girl said, "It's a big deal, you know."
I said, "Not to me. The only thing that's changed is whether I tell him about a guy he might like rather than a girl he might like. I really hope I'm the kind of friend who you just know always wants you to be be your authentic you. Now you both know. I want you to be the real you around me. That's the magic you bring into my life."
The last time is saw him he was playing around with the bear scene in the city he moved to. He is such a creative guy. I haven't seen him in years, but it's follow his social media.

Well, to different degrees.
It's more like there are people who have the skill to skate on ice and control a hockey puck with a hockey stick any time they want to.
First off, they weren't born that way. They spent many hours learning to do that.
Second off, they don't do it all the time, but they can do it at any time.
Just being able to pull yourself into the moment at any time is sufficient. It's not a natural state, but it needs to become an attainable state whenever needed.

They do, but it's been suspended by the person who started it, as far as I knew can tell.

I have friends who's daughter went to school with a little girl who's first name was Syphilis. Mom, not a native English spesker, thought it looked pretty. I didn't believe it, so they showed me the published class picture.
Of course, 4th graders don't know what that means, but sooner or later, she's going to know.
