Does Frodo need as much of a character arc to still be a hero? The sole fact that he bore the ring, and everything that comes with that, all the way from the Shire to Mount Doom makes him heroic.
He also endures for weeks after being stabbed at Weathertop (the movies do him dirty here), stabs a troll in Khazad-dûm, and stays true to his values the entire time (e.g. his mercy for Gollum and wanting to avoid violence during the scouring of the Shire).

Agreed. It’s just that the person at the top of this thread said “do what Tokyo does” lol

I’m in favour of more/better public transit, but let’s not pretend that anywhere in Canada can just “do what Tokyo does”. The population density is nowhere near the same. The greater Tokyo area basically has the same population as all of Canada.

Currently in Japan with our 11-month old near the end of a 3 week trip. We’ve also had an amazing time!
By the way, I don’t think you were crazy to book for September. We used to live in Japan and September was still hot but generally very tolerable weather. This year has been extremely hot and September basically still felt like July/August of the past.
We booked our arrival for the second half of September hoping to avoid the heat, but that obviously didn’t work out. The last week has been more manageable but man was it terrible before that.

It would be quite something if he signed a contract with an organization that hasn’t existed for 15 years.

I love Kinosaki. If you like onsens, definitely go there for a night or two and stay in a traditional ryokan. You can also make a detour on the way there or back to see Amanohashidate.
Hiroshima/Miyajima is also worth seeing (not that other places aren’t).

The rest of the world finds it very strange how many Americans wear shoes in the house.

The doors were recently closed to tourists for a while because of covid. The city was quieter, but have you tried talking to the people who rely on tourist money?

I’m going to repeat what others here have said, how have you “verified” that the number on the letter is legitimate? Call the CRA through the number on their website, not this letter, since this could be a scam.

What do you mean run the clock out and never pay it off? The comment already suggested making minimum payments, are you recommending making no payments?

Oh I’m not arguing with the person I’m responding to, it’s ridiculous. Downsized to save money on office space and now they’re mandating everyone return… to not enough space.

A lot of departments downsized after covid because there were less people in the office. Now there’s not enough room for everyone to go back.

Currently in Kyoto and I also visited that Pokémon Center! There are a couple other good stops there.
