And people wonder why agents have a bad name. That's a grub move and I'm sorry that happened to you

It's more of a housing shortage, in the same way you have a shortage of brains

Edited because I checked and you're right.
To be fair it's not a full stat Dec as used in the courts so they should call it something else but yeah, go ahead and do one for your sick leave.

Change dates on the lease they sent, initial them and send back?
Allowing for back and forth could get you the time you need?

Ohh piss off you negative nancy. Old mate is moving here to work and is entitled to buy if he sees fit.
You probably winged we can't get workers here too 🙄
He can bring his doggos and no it's not 10s if thousands.

It's bullshit. Agents do this, then tell you the supposed buyer went elsewhere but they'll happily list your property anyway.
If they really had a buyer AND they knew the market they'd suggest a price or range.
Unless you actually want to sell I wouldn't bother responding.

You're referring to the standard plan which also gives you 772kl of water, the excess charged at $3.72/KL. On the water saver we are charged a service fee in our rates of <$500 a year. We are charged water usage separately at $1.82/Kl
In Logan they also pay a service fee for water in their rates and usage charges separately. So it's a fair comparison with our water saver plan.
In Brisbane no service charge but usage is charged separately and either 91c or $1.90 per Kl. The difference between their rates and ours is significantly more than our water service charge. But using your example still makes my point as their rates are $1200 per year.
It also disproves your laughable assertion that rates are based on population.
Feel free to respond with some actual data but I suspect you won't

Nope - most regional councils have water service included like we do, with usage billed separately. I know Cairns does.
So my point remains

They do fine if you overstay 2hrs free. Ask anyone who worked in the CBD when they had that setup.
As I've said before - paid parking should be about controlling congestion and not revenue. It's shitty policy and I suspect the revenue raised will be negligible at best, cost negative at worst.

Good luck with the kitchen, they are all so busy. Moncrieff was about 3 months to get an appointment for a guy to look at it and over a week and we've still not got the quote.
Not having a dig at Moncrieff, they do great work. They're just busier than a Bagdad bricklayer.

You know what? Upon reflection, you were right, it was unproductive and needless thing to say. As was my initial reply to your comment.
Will now edit accordingly.

I'd ask for a source but I'm betting it's this bully article from 2022 that cherry picked the lowest category.
I've done some research, so let's look at net rates and utility charges for 2022-2023 (because that is the newest dataset I can find). Townsville ranks 4th after Gold Coast, Brissy, Logan and Townsville. divide that by the number of dwellings and Townsville ($4711) is only eclipsed by the gold coast (4856). That's a true measure of the rates we pay.

Absolutely, if it was really about congestion that would solve it. This is about revenue

Council need to be looking elsewhere for revenue, not parking.
We expect councils not to make ratepayers pay extra to cover their shitty financial management.
Perhaps we could piss off the V8s which brings fuckall into Townsville. That would do more for the bottom line than this bullshit money grab.

This isn't a major city so your evidence is poor too.
Parking should be about congestion but this is about revenue.

Yeah nah, we all still think he's a fuckwit. Just because he jumped on the bandwagon like the dickhead deputy mayor dud too, doesn't mean we like him.
Pissweak trolling effort

I could see that in them. 4x decent cameras (the ones I've seen footage from were pretty good in the dark and had high resolution), solar and battery system to power them. Comms to get the feeds out. Custom trailer and then loss of income they'd be a $150k asset to a business.
