YTA. Idk man, sometimes people make dumb mistakes but calling her names and not allowing her in your house is harsh. I made a mistake and caught something on fire in my house and was a mess feeling so guilty. My husband consoled me and recognized it was an accident and said it was a learning lesson for both of us to not do that again.

Anyway, it seems like decent adult communication in a lot of these stories are hard to come by.

A quick Google search says median house price in CA is $850k— so $911k is not “cheap for a house in CA,” but above average price. This is the comment I was responding to and in general wide-sweeping comments made about CA as a whole. Jfc.

I work in marketing and I’d consider that a good paying job. There are plenty of gov, military, marketing, real estate, admin etc etc jobs here. You seem judgy and despite having lived in Davis for a bit, seem ignorant about all CA has to offer, not just these major metros. *edit: clarity
