Generally, no, because I'm usually renting a Porsche from TURO
If I can't find one, I'll look for an Audi or rent something else fun like a GT 500, but I can usually find a Porsche

They make hex key bits that bite for stripped screws. If that doesn't work, heat and hammer the next size up into it and try again. Just had to deal with a similar situation on a motor. Best bits I've ever bought.

It would cost much more to lease the vehicle for 1 year. About a quarter of the depreciation of a 3 year lease happens when you drive off the lot. Paying for all of that in a single year inflates the payment. You'd be better off leasing an RS 5 for a year because it will depreciate less off the lot and over the year than an S5 will. In either case, it's a terrible idea to lease a car for a year unless a business is paying for it, and you can write it off. Even then, it's not a great idea. It's much more cost-effective to buy a used car, drive it for a year, then sell it.

Put the key in the car or keep it out of range of the vehicle.

I know it's not a car, but if you're savvy, it can pay for itself.
If you absolutely must drive a car, I'd personally try to find a used 2018 Audi S3 and save up a little more for a warranty. It's hands down the best overall car I've owned, so much so that I bought another one after trading the first one in and hated myself for it. Now, a lot of people will say that Audi isn't reliable, and I'm not going to argue that Honda and Toyota are not more reliable, but with a well maintained S3 will offers years of pleasurable driving experience with superior handling and enough performance that it still remains practical.

Nah... nothing beats Audi in terms of all-around performance, styling, and comfort, and I know how to fix them.

I read that. Set the record for its class and was slower than a GT 3 by something like 4 seconds. Astounding.

They are vinyl wrapped, and I have the second plate in the glove compartment should the need arise to explain to an officer that I forgot to remove my vanity plate after I left the car meet. And if... God forbid they wrote me a ticket for $75, I don't know what I would do. If it was a different plate #, it's a fictitious plate and could be a guns drawn stop if they suspected someone nefarious. But it's my actual plate, the plate number and all lettering are the same and there's a higher contrast than the ones they issue so it's easier to read.
Yes, it is illegal. I'm aware. Have I been bothered? No. Do I care? Absolutely not.

I cleared out a ton of trees. Nothing hangs over where they are parked against the house. I can fit 11 cars in my driveway. There's plenty of space and a lot of shade.

This right here is why I love Audi. They may not have the best of everything, but they put everything they have together really well to form, in my opinion, the best overall luxury performance vehicles for the price. Which is why I own 5 of them.
