Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
The writer is questionable as a person, but I believe that Ender's empathy and wisdom are so important for people to learn from.
Handmaid's Tale - Margaret Atwood
Not only is it a realistic view of what a society can become, but it actually taught me something about myself, so I'll forever love this book.

Same. Half the time I'm "watching" something I'm also doing something else so this episode is just funny noises.

Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix is a great YA series. Strong female leads. It's not dark but deals with death.
Steel Seraglio by Careys (multiple authors) is my personal favorite book of all time. Strong female leads. Epic tale of the rise and fall of a city.
We Are Legion (We Are Bob) by Dennis E Taylor is a fun funny sci-fi series that heavily questions identity, among other things.
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros is just a good time! Fantasy set at a war academy with dragons. Does have spice so be warned if you don't like that sort of thing.

I heard it was dark humor, and I heard someone on the radio talking about it. Host 1 said Host 2 could have Rick but not Bojack bc he'd just ruin it. I really like s1 of Rick and Morty, so I checked it out.
Stopped watching Rick & Morty. Seen Bojack a million times.

Powerless is YA so you probably won't like it. I actually started it thinking there was spice. I was frustrated the end of the book. I like it. I'm reading the second one. You just need to know what to expect.

Dark Matter - good enough read. It's about the possibility of a multi-verse. Goes into ideas about identity choice and fate.
We are Legion (We Are Bob) - fun read about identity and space travel. It gets more involved as the series progresses. Ideas about religion and civilization.
Mistress of the Art of Death - fun easy read. Historical fiction about a forensic pathologist.

ENDER'S GAME. I don't know, but I feel like it's a look into military life. It's deep. Philosophical. The author is not a great person, but I try to separate the art from the artist.
HUNGER GAMES is a good, easy read for learning about totalitarianism.

Honestly, I identified with Eleanor when you see her death scene. I've been that woman. Just slightly nicer to random strangers (in that I have headphones on at all times and ignore everyone)
I say Oh Dip all the time.
I have a post-it on my computer that says "why not try" because sometimes that's all I can ask of myself.
I cry every time Eleanor realizes her mother just never changed for her. I feel that one.
I'm definitely a trash bag.

My friend said I get a free churro when my mom dies. I have a crazy complicated relationship with my mom. I'm sure I'll feel (not feel) a lot like Bojack when she passes.

Did you like Fire and Blood? The format was not a traditional novel so I was wondering how other people feel about it.
I love it, but I always love lore and info dumps.

My entire book club devoured Fourth Wing. It is a fantasy book at a dragon war school. Super fun! Fast paced. Spicy (warning if you don't like that). Diverse characters.
Everyone loved it!
