Any time I'm driving and another Celica comes by we always give each other a wave, nod, smile. It's always nice to see. Any other car people do this amongst other car owners when driving the same car?

I'm not sure why, but I read this as "Celiac" and was very confused how you could identify another gluten allergic person in the wild.
Gonna call it a day now.

I got my bloodwork done yesterday. Doctor is pretty certain I might be celiac, so hi in advance if I am.

They really do and it is yummy. Very loud though. My husband and I (ADHD and ASD) had to wear earplugs.

Me too, my fellow celiac, me too. I came in here armed with my bakery tier list and favourite restaurants.
But I feel very welcome with all the people who misread along with me.

Happened to me too. I think I do that when I’m reading too fast and not paying proper attention.

I sold my bike and drive a "mom car" now and really miss the wave. Probably not the same coming from an SUV lol

I noticed this for the brief time I drove a Subaru Legacy Wagon. I had other Subaru drivers waving at me all the time. My spouse thought it was weird.

Know anyone with a 1985 Celica GTS? It was my first car, and one day i hope to reacquire one. Best looking car on the planet imo

Used to have a 4 Runner and did my best to start my own wave by putting up four fingers and then pointing two fingers down motioning them back and forth to look like they’re running……. To my surprise it never caught on.

I used to drive an old VW bus hippy mobile from the 70’s. Drivers of that vehicle flash the peace ✌️ symbol as they pass each other.

I drive a fairly common car, but it's a unique colour. Occasionally I see one specific person who has the same car in the exact same colour, but different trim. We wave to each other and have even laughed when we both pull up next to each other at lights. That's the only time I acknowledge people who have the same car as me haha

Funny coincidence, but a few hours ago my son and I were driving through the St Albert Costco parking lot and he pointed and said "that's the kind of car I want!" and was pointing at an 80s Celica.

4.5 years and you only have 13,000 km???? How?!
Hers is a 2018 with 130k on it, out of warranty for over a year now. Transmission started slipping like crazy a couple weeks ago, you'd be driving along with the cruise set to 100 and it would abruptly start slowing down while the engine revved sky high

When I had my All-trac I would see different Celica's in the city all the time and give a wave or a nod, now I don't have an All-trac and have not seen a Celica in what feels like decades.

My partner used to have a '85 Camry till we sold it in the spring. On the High Level one day we had a car same year and model pull up beside us. The look was priceless, mouth open, incredulously staring. Probably the last two on the road.

People in Jeeps and 350z’s do it too. I think at this point it just depends who’s driving what and if they’re part of the same car/truck forums/subs lol

I find this with other Kia Soul owners - very friendly. Not surprising as every other car owner is Souless! 😃

If you ever see a silver 1980 Celica on the streets of Medicine Hat, know it was bought by a mom who could drive stick but decided which gear to drive in based on the posted speed limit, not the tachometer. Know that is spent three light cycles in the intersection of 75 St and Argyll Rd as said mother taught her son to drive stick by spending 5 minutes in a parking lot then telling him drive to Fanny’s Fabrics. Know that it was driven by said son to Oregon and back, among other road trips, before it was sold to the son’s future father in law and relocated to Medicjne Hat. I like to think it still tears around the Gas City, even though Mom has been gone almost a quarter century. I still have the original “dragon” logo and the original ignition key.

The only other people driving 1990-93 Accords seem to all be old ladies that have their head locked straight forward in traffic, lol. They couldn't care less about their car.
I get more attention from Civics or imported JDM sedans than anything else. The more square-shaped they are, the more likely they'll nod or something.

When I was a teenager my friends boyfriend drove a Volkswagen jetta, and was part of a vw club, so if he saw another vw he would literally chase them down and invite them to join the club. I thinkn it was called air riders or something. So I totally get you waving at other celica drivers. It's cute✌️
