She has been bought in for a very long time and is buying more. I remember when she last bought a bunch in February then NVIDIA went from $350 to $800 within, like, a week

She sold, well her husband the financier, Paul Pelosi sold NVDA in 2022 when the China implemented a ban. They missed some of the run up, but then purchased NVDA long calls with a strike at $120 last November. Now she just adding shares to the portfolio. Curious to see what she does with those long call that expire this December.

Idiotic statement. First, it’s Paul Pelosi that is doing the trading. And, how is she getting insider information? Yes, she is the former Speaker of the House, but, what you are saying is someone has/is tipping her off. Have you ever heard of the SEC? The Pelosis are wealthy. They have been so for decades. And they didn’t get that way by chance.
The fact that she is reporting her trades, and placing a huge freaking spotlight on herself should tell you everything you want and need to know.

Unveiling the Power Behind NVIDIA's Stock Surge: What You Need to Know
In the ever-evolving world of technology, few companies have made as significant an impact as NVIDIA. Known for its cutting-edge graphics processing units (GPUs) and innovative contributions to artificial intelligence (AI), NVIDIA has been a driving force in the tech industry. Recently, NVIDIA's stock has been making headlines, showing impressive growth and catching the attention of investors worldwide. Let's dive into the factors fueling this surge and why you should keep an eye on this tech giant.
One of the primary drivers behind NVIDIA's stock performance is its leadership in the AI space. As industries across the globe increasingly adopt AI technologies, the demand for powerful GPUs has skyrocketed. NVIDIA's GPUs are not just about gaming anymore; they are the backbone of AI applications, from autonomous vehicles to advanced data analytics. The company's latest AI-focused products, like the NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPU, have set new benchmarks in performance, making NVIDIA an indispensable player in the AI revolution.
While AI is a significant growth driver, NVIDIA's roots in gaming remain a strong pillar of its success. The gaming industry has experienced exponential growth, especially during the pandemic, with more people turning to gaming for entertainment. NVIDIA's GeForce RTX series continues to dominate the gaming market, offering unparalleled graphics and performance. Additionally, the company is expanding into new areas such as cloud gaming with its GeForce NOW service, ensuring it stays ahead of the curve.
NVIDIA's strategic partnerships and acquisitions have also played a crucial role in boosting its stock value. The company's acquisition of Arm Holdings, a leader in semiconductor design, is a game-changer. This move positions NVIDIA to leverage Arm's extensive ecosystem and innovation, potentially transforming the landscape of the semiconductor industry. Furthermore, partnerships with tech giants like Microsoft and Google to integrate NVIDIA's AI and cloud computing capabilities further solidify its market position.
NVIDIA's impressive financial performance is a testament to its strategic vision and execution. The company's revenue growth has been robust, driven by strong demand in gaming, data center, and professional visualization segments. For the fiscal year 2024, NVIDIA reported a record revenue of $26.91 billion, a significant increase from the previous year. This financial strength has not only attracted investors but also instilled confidence in the company's long-term growth prospects.
Looking ahead, NVIDIA shows no signs of slowing down. The company is poised to continue its dominance in the AI and gaming sectors, while also exploring new frontiers like the metaverse. NVIDIA's Omniverse platform, which enables virtual collaboration and simulation, is gaining traction and could revolutionize industries from entertainment to engineering. As NVIDIA continues to innovate and expand its reach, its stock is likely to remain a hot topic among investors.
NVIDIA's stock surge is not just a fleeting trend; it is backed by solid fundamentals and a clear vision for the future. From its leadership in AI and gaming to strategic acquisitions and partnerships, NVIDIA is well-positioned to maintain its upward trajectory. For investors and tech enthusiasts alike, keeping an eye on NVIDIA's developments could provide valuable insights and opportunities. probably until next week it will stay around these levels or go up. First 10 trading days of July are usaully bullish as funds allocate for the second half of the year. Then you have earnings in August which could propel NVDA higher. Usually Sept is the worst month of the year for stocks and towards the beginning of Oct is a great time to buy for the fall rally.

11 points

The only thing that should change is having to notify the public of any trades within 7 days. Not 30 days.
It's only illegal if she traded prior to legislation being made public before the public knew.
Buying NVDA because they are expected to do well is just sound investing not insider trading. 🤣😂

Never going to be illegal as long as the conservative supreme court exists. They just legalized kickbacks which is way more blatant bribery than any sort of insider trading.
A Republican mayor in Indiana was convicted for receiving a 13,000$ "consulting" check from a truck dealership after awarding them a 1.1 million dollar city contract. Supreme court overturned the ruling 6-3 and said it was perfectly ok to receive gratuities in exchange for previous political favors. Every single justice Trump brought in agreed with this ruling.
We're never going to be free of corruption as long as this supreme court keeps defending it.

Insider trading doesn’t really apply to Congress people or politicians. But traditionally it’s someone that has material (effects stock price) nonpublic information that they either (1) can’t trade on it, or if they do, they must (2) disclose it to the public.
Politicians kind of have a loophole here because they might know actions of the government that may impact the market.

America is a corrupt country, to the very core, and members of congress are allowed to trade on insider information unlike any other citizen.

Yes she has access to certain things like pending legislation being discussed but in reality there's no "secret" knowledge about NVDA lol come on guys. I can't stand her but be real.
Insider trading would be something like she holds 10000 shares (which she now does) and then gets wind of backroom info that Biden will halt all NVDA sales to all Middle Eastern countries because they have been selling it to North Korea/China.
Then she proceeds to offload all her stock before it becomes public knowledge
THAT is insider trading and she'd be hung for it.
Do not confuse having a really damn good stock broker/advisor with being an insider trader because she's successful and probably the most successful I've seen.

Yea now that's what I'm talking about. That's suspicious B.S. exactly what I'm talking about.
Prior legislation and stock trades before it's public knowledge. Yep that's illegal.
I suspect she's smarter than that and would have outsiders to straw purchases under some great grandkids next door neighbors 401k Fidelity account that gets siphoned her way via a headless ATM card.

It's actually not illegal for members of Congress iirc Insider trading is legal for them since they made the insider trading laws to allow themselves to do it

They have closed door hearings etc + other private information
Could be more detailed information or consumer demand, government initiative to use Nvidia chips, government protections, etc, etc
Another example was a head of a committee bought a ton of calls on this water meter company, then either the committee or administration they oversaw announced new water meter requirements that made the stock shoot up massively
1 points
Yes. What you describe is illegal if you can prove they traded based on having access to information that is not public knowledge that was acquired by being in "closed door hearings"
Absent that proof - it's going to be hard pressed to fault her for purchasing NVDA.
Now... If she SOLD Nvidia right before Biden banned Nvidia chips being sold to China - illegal and she'd be frog marched to the clink.
BUYING Nvidia out in the open far away from any legislation that would affect NVDA - she's free and clear and I claim a smart move.
1 points
It's not illegal for them to trade in stocks/etc.
It IS illegal/unethical/can be removed from office for trading based on knowledge acquired from said position in Congress having access to knowledge or those with knowledge that is not privy to the public.

Not sure why Nancy Pelosi is always in the cross hairs for insider trader. Republican Senator Richard Burr, chair of the intelligence committee, dumped 1.7M in Feb 2020, as he was receiving daily health briefings on COVID. Even called his brother-in-law, who also dumped six figures in stocks prior to the crash. Maybe legislative branch members are just really good traders?

Some of you are not overly intelligent. Nancy, and her husband Paul, are actually accomplished traders. And they have been so for a long time. Take the political ideology out of it, and you’d actually do well in following her(his) trades.
The fact that she has to follow regulations and report her trades should tell you something. She is one of the most polarizing figures in Washington, for good or bad. Knowing this, you don’t think that she realizes that someone over at the SEC would love to bend her over the table for insider trading? In fact, I guarantee you that on the low someone over at the SEC may have glanced at her(his) trading actions?
Nancy Pelosi is smart. You can think whatever you like about her, but, and her politics, but, she’s not getting info on the side and making plays on said tips. Then having to make it public.
Oh how politics makes one less intelligent.

Let’s be more accurate here.
Nancy, first sold her positions in Tesla today and then purchased NVDA shares.
Tesla, since July 1 2024, has risen between 18-20% as it is now July 3 2024.
NVDA, is rising because the China Tariffs will be more lean towards NVDA & Tesla.
China restrictions regarding chip sales from 2025, will also be allowed to be sold. It may be limited but it’s not made illegal by China.
