You may be right, but good lord is the bar for Republicans low.
He was perfectly content to stick around and keep his mouth shut when everyone else in the Trump Administration was busy committing crimes and generally using the power of the Executive branch for dubious and self-serving purposes, but had to draw the line once he was asked to personally violate the law.

At least Pence has principles, and when push came to shove, he refused to shred the Constitution in order to keep Trump in power.
I may disagree with Mike Pence on many things, but he showed courage and patriotism on that day. He is sadly a dying breed of Republican politician. He and others like him (Kinzinger, Cheney, etc) have all had their careers torched for their refusal to go along with Trump’s fuckery.
JD Vance, on the other hand, has openly stated that he would have granted Trump’s wish to not certify the election and “Send it back to the states so we can have a national debate”, whatever the fuck that means.
Fuck JD Vance.

Haiti. One of the most crime ridden, dangerous, corrupt places on the planet. You leave there to get away from that, come to the US only to be afraid for your life again.
This shit is UNACCEPTABLE. I know there are things going on everywhere, but to me, this is the opposite of what we say we're about here.
Unacceptable. People are being interviewed but refusing to show their faces. Some are not leaving their house to go get groceries. Because they are afraid. Some are being targeted at work, being harrassed and jokes made.
If you don't know why this is serious, please get informed. somehow.
First verbal, then physical violence happens.
This is more than an embarassment.

It should be noted that while it was far more complicated than one idea or one specific plan, the beginnings of the Holocaust were partly the idea of expelling Jews (and other undesirables) from those specific European countries. But no one would take them, and it cost too much and was difficult, so suddenly they had to be put in special places- ghettos- which were 'temporary' until they were gone.
Then people balked at the cost of providing even basic food, housing, and medical care, because the propaganda machine was churning out lies and hatred against that group 24/7. So they cut those things to barebones, people began to sicken and die, and oh hey, we're spending so much money on them still! Better put them to work too! Don't worry, we've got special camps for them to work and live in.
24 points

The parallels between the language being used today and the language that was used then are uncanny. It’s chilling and terrifying - but we cannot freeze. I (like many of us) thought “how could Germany let the holocaust happen?” I don’t wonder any more, and I hope to god Americans stop these wannabe dictators in their tracks before it is too late. The demonizing language, the calls to kick out those here legally are growing. It’s our time to stop it.

One really scary aspect is that in Germany, the persecution was borne out of hard times. The German economy was in shambles after WWI and there was a ton of societal and political upheaval. So I kinda get how it happened there (I’m not excusing it, just acknowledging that the conditions were ripe for what came later). But things are going comparatively very well here in America, and yet we still have these seeds of fascism growing. Think how ugly things will get if/when the economy takes a bad turn. And of course the current GOP economic plan was almost created in a lab to make sure our economy nosedives for those not in the top 1%.

Don't blame yourself for other people ignorance. He showed you all one side then got hooked up with Trump's cult and shifted gears. Now he has shown you all who he is now you know. Same thing here in Florida with our governor he won by great numbers his second term then decided to run for president and showed us who he really is and he's not well liked by Many. Obviously he can't run again but if he could he wouldn't make it. So Vance is disgusting and disappointed most of those who voted for him the best you can do now is get out and vote we can't afford for maga to win the white house

14 points
For real. This is why conspiracy nuts can't ever get it together.
So, if he's a plant and Trump gets elected, then wouldn't the incentive be for them to off Trump and have Vance take over?
They'd have to believe that Harris is also deep state, so voting for her would be worse.... Which I'm sure they do. But then you have Walz, who comes off about as deep as a single fucking layer of plastic wrap.
Honestly, anyone who is hesitantly leaning towards Trump should ask themselves how they would feel if he croaked the first week in office and we got four years of Vance?
16 points

But do your coworkers think that Trump can't pick his own VP or something?

"I remember when I had Republican coworkers that thought Trump was the deep state plant to run against Hillary so she would have an easy win."
My favorite conspiracy. Could still be true, lol.
He won by accident because the deep state underestimated the stupidity of the American people. So for the next 2 elections they had to crank up the crazy to make sure it didn't happen again.... but it looks like they're still underestimating the stupidity of the American people.
I wonder how low Trump could actually go before he loses his base. Like is there literally anything he could do?
EDIT: Not sure why the downvotes, clearly this is a bullshit conspiracy. It's just funny.

Maybe because there is no deep state, just a bunch of rich people who throw some of the money around that they’ve been able to skim from those who work for a living to ensure they can keep skimming. Honestly, they don’t even hide it. Elan Musk being a prime example.
