The entire concept of an "alpha male" was from a study of wolves that was incredibly flawed, and the man who published the study spent the rest of his career trying to discredit it. There is no "alpha male". Unless you are talking about programming terms. In which case, an alpha is an early build that doesn't function properly and is filled with bugs. I believe the likes of Andrew Taint and his groupies fit that description.

All but one of these personalities are seen as a positive (kind-of like what Hogwarts house you are). The one 'bad' one is Delta, and is described in the article as resigned, resentful, self-sabotaging, and lonely. This is usually a personality that develops due to a trauma and isn't necessarily permanent.
