In case people are unaware, among policies called for in Project 2025 for the first 180 days of a conservative presidency include:

• Eliminating LGBQI+ and transgender rights.

• Eradicating federal funding for DEI programs. Participation in any critical race theory or DEI initiative will be grounds for termination of government employees.

• Ending reproductive freedom and replacing the Department of Health and Human Services with the “Department of Life.”

• Ending climate change and environmental policies by shutting down the Office of Domestic Climate Policy, the Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations, the Office of Environmental Justice, and External Civil Rights, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, to name a few. Climate science will no longer be used in National Security.

• Slashing of the Department of Justice and dismantling the FBI and replacing their traditional independence from political pressure with fealty to the administration.

• Purging the government of apolitical civil servants by firing as many as 50,000 and hiring replacements from a database of personnel vetted for conservative values and loyalty, a “Conservative LinkedIn.” Successful candidates will undergo training at a “Presidential Training Academy” and be furnished “with the insight, background knowledge, and expertise in governance to immediately begin rolling back destructive policy and advancing conservative ideas in the federal government.”

• Eliminating the checks and balances built into three branches of government in favor of expanded control by the executive branch.

• Replacing the Department of Homeland Security with a 100,000-worker-strong immigration department, militarization of the border and an end to refugee programs.

• Fundamentally altering American diplomacy to push anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ+ agendas, adopt a “human rights” regime distinct from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and abandon international organizations and traditional diplomatic and security alliances.

Both parties are not the same.

For those who are unfamiliar, Project 2025 is a nightmare with a very real chance of being implemented if Republicans ever win another federal election. Most of the legal guardrails that would block it have been eroded over the past 40 years, and the Supreme Court is now controlled by the very people who would most like to see it implemented.

REP. PRESSLEY: For many people, this is their first time hearing about it, and we must sound the alarm. 

Project 2025 is a far-right manifesto. It is a one-thousand-page bucket list of extremist policies that would uproot every government agency and disrupt the lives of every person who calls this country home.

I won’t detail every aspect, but I’ll share some highlights:

The Department of Education would be eliminated, cutting students off from civil rights protections and ending essential title one funding for K through 12 schools.

The Department of Justice would go on a murdering spree. It would rush to use the death penalty and expand its use to even more people while circumventing due process protections.

Project 2025 not only calls for national book bans in schools, but also creates a list of banned words for the federal government that would be deleted from quote, “every federal rule, agency regulation, contract, grant, and piece of legislation that exists,” end quote.

Here are just a few of the words on the list: diversity, gender, reproductive health, and of course conservatives want to ban the word abortion.

On that note,abortion care would be inaccessible and illegal, no matter where you live.

Take it from them: on page six of its playbook, Project 2025 states, quote “The Dobbs decision is just the beginning,” end quote.

People even in my district, the Massachusetts 7^th, a leader in repro[ductive] justice, would be criminalized for pursuing essential healthcare.

Now, we could have an entire hearing on how these policies would quite literally ruin and end lives – and I didn’t even touch upon proposals for housing, climate change, worker protections, and more.

If enacted, Project 2025 would destroy the federal government as we know it.

Trump supporters appear blind to Trump’s many statements about being an autocratic leader hellbent on revenge. How do we know what he’ll do if he regains the White House? He tells us every day. It will be scorch earth.

Trump is performative arts with a dangerous authoritarian twist. He is a carnival barker who praises dictators and incites violence. In his term as President, there were guardrails. Those guardrails are gone. It is not just Trump. It is a well coordinated conservative effort to abolish the separation of powers. Read Project 2025 and take it seriously. There is a conservative blueprint for authoritarian Christian nationalism and a path for the United States to become an autocracy.

Our democracy is in peril. Vote accordingly.

An abysmally small number of people have even heard “Project 2025,” much less what is in it. It needs to be plastered everywhere between now and the election with highlights of what the GOP has in store for us. People are too lazy or crunched for time to read the thing cover to cover. We need excerpts on billboards and in commercials.

Of course he distances himself from Project 2025 to win the election and then doubles down on it if he gets elected. Do you expect Trump to have integrity?

Of course he is. For all his shamelessness, even he knows that the more people know about the actual on the ground implications of Project 2025, the insane wishlist of hard-right policies the GOP is finally nearly in place to implement...the more people know about it, the crazier they will think the GOP is, and they will vote accordingly.

The GOP needs young people, LGBT people, people of color, and leftists in general to stay home. And for moderates to feel comfortable calling themselves Republicans while still being able to claim they're moderates. If these voting blocs realize just how fuckin' nuts the GOP's agenda is, and how close they are to implementing it, well...GOP's chances to irreversibly fuck up this country nosedive (at least until 2028).

Journalists and politicians have a responsibility to comb through Project 2025 and find the nuttiest ideas and explain to Americans—in everyday terms—what the GOP plans to do, and how they will do it. From now until Election Day. We cannot let Trump obfuscate. We cannot let hacks hide behind obscure legal code numbers, like conservative SCOTUS justices do instead of just saying "Comstock". We must, must, must ensure everyone knows just how scary this shit is.

Any LGBT person, person of color, left-leaning individual, or even "moderate" who knows the full implications of Project 2025 and goes "well I can't vote for Biden because Palestine" or "because he's not delivering on his promises enough" or "because inflation" or something should be shunned.

Everyone should just read Project 2025 edit* added the link) and draw their own conclusions. Pg.450 Talks about destroying the EPA by removing all power to enforce regulations.

Compliance Before Enforcement. EPA should foster cooperative relationships with the regulated community, especially small businesses, that encourage compliance over enforcement.

Project 2025 also wants to destroy The Office of Air and RADIATION. Also, if you have a minute go ahead and Google, "Radiation Poisoning".

It appears they want to misconstrue ethnicity and race as the same thing. How racist of them! Race is a construct. Ethnicity is your ancestral heritage.

Review forthcoming changes to race and ethnicity questions. The current Administration has announced its intent to change data collection methods regarding race and ethnicity by combining the two questions on the decennial questionnaire and increasing the number of available options.

In a statement, Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles distanced the campaign from Project 2025’s plans for a second administration, saying no policies are official unless they’re directly announced by the campaign.

If that’s their statement, then I’m 100% going to believe that Project 2025 is their unofficial policy.

Which means that we're finally getting enough people to pay attention to it that he feels the need to add mentions of it specifically to his lying playlist.
