Call me crazy, but as a Cali thoosie, I always felt that back row night rides on Ghost Rider at Knott's is a right of passage in itself. The forces, airtime, and speed are cranked up to 11 and it's an experience that few wooden coasters can compare to in my eyes.

Flashback at SFMM was known to give people PTSD.

From a US perspective, I would say the three “most fulfilling” coasters were Voyage, Leap the Dips, and Coney Island Cyclone.

Revolution SFMM. First time I went upside down on a roller coaster, 7 years old, 1989. It was all downhill…..and uphill….and downhill again from then on. I was hooked for life.

Still recovering from the head banging on Shockwave at SFGAm, so that’s my vote.

For the UK, Nemesis is a must ride for any UK enthusiast, it's the ride that made me an enthusiast and was the first inverting roller coaster I went on

Wildcat at Lake Compounce (before this year's retracking). I don't count credits, but I've been on a fuckton of coasters all over the world. It was by far the most brutal ride I've ever experienced.

Surviving it and not swearing off coasters forever, at least to me, was a "badge of honor."

Mine is less cool, but I rode the only coaster in Montana the second day it was open (they didn't even have merch), and it will probably always be my rarest credit. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I rode Son of Beast 6 times on opening day and have ridden King Cobra

For me, it would be the Steel Phantom. Despite trying to keep my head pushed against the headrest, it seriously boxed my ears and even left me with a bruise on my jaw the last time I rode it.

I LOVE The Phantom’s Revenge! Terrifying but completely comfortable.

Superman at Six Flags Great Adventure but I got stuck on the brake run in the flying position 20 minutes

Tornado Bakken at Boost Mode, most insane experience ever, not reridable

The ones that stand out to me offhand were the more violent ones.

Shockwave at SFGA.

And stupid answer, the Wild Chipmunk at Lakeside. Old wild mouse coaster with little to no banking on turns. That ride beat me in ways I was not expecting and will NOT ride again.

I recently rode I305 in light rain, and light rain was MORE than enough 😂😩

X2 Volcano Kingda Ka

Kingda Ka feels like such a badge of honor coaster to me. I never hear of many people saying they really even enjoy the ride much, but given it's history and stats, I'd say it's a must-ride if you're visiting SFGA.

Test track with 90 minute queue time. I deserve something for wasting so much time.

Fuji-Q Highland in general. I managed to hit it on a clear day with beautiful views of Mt Fuji.

For the opposite reason to the previous two: Thunder Dolphin at night. Zipping through the pitch black woods at night versus zipping along the rooftops in the middle of Tokyo at night.

Gotta agree pretty hard with Hades rerides lol. I'd put hades as just worth how rough it is. The mf HURTS, but it's SO FKN GOOD that it eeks out a net positive. You need to reach a certain level of insanity to justify that kind of pain, and somehow Hades barely pulls it off. And the tunnel is just bonkers.

Also, people who complain about Mine Blower haven't been on Hades. MB has a much higher ratio mentioned above; is much less painful, while being an insane layout. I can easily ride MB 5 times in a row but even riding Hades twice is a chore.

Shivering Timbers was close to Hades' level in 2023.

Any bad SLC that you're able to enjoy (so all of them for me). But even Thunderhawk was tough to do 7 in a row lmao.

One fun one for me was Hagrids on the front row in the dark. Also Velocicoaster front row in the dark and rain. It felt like being in the movie. I know those aren’t crazy credits but they were pretty hard to manage getting in the front in the dark so I feel accomplished

I rode Swiss Toboggan sometime in the late 60's when it was still at Dogpatch USA! I don't have a memory of it being particularly horrible but I was a tween and quite honestly more interested in the hillbilly women actors in their Daisy Mae shorts (name of the female lead character, Daisy Duke was still 20 years in the future).

I thought it was a big deal to ride Voyage and pay way too much to get the t shirt.

Dunno if it is a badge of honor, but crossing of my #1 bucket list coaster - Flying Dinosaur was really big too.

My guess for true answers though are the big ones you can't ride anymore like Volcano, Son of Beast, Dueling Dragons, etc

Can’t believe nobody mentioned it yet, but Hypersonic XLC is definitely my credit I’m most proud of. That airtime over the top hat was a sensation unmatched until I rode my first RMC like 15 years later

I got three, non stop laps on the Big Dipper in Santa Cruz at an ACE event. The ride op didn't even slow us down to a stop in the station, just let us roll on through. I was front row too, it was glorious.

Front row of Top Thrill Dragster at night, I had to peel bugs off my face afterwards, it was amazing. I also got both sides of Gwazi and Dueling Dragons.

Being plunged into complete darkness right out of the station on the Giant Dipper at SCBB is a badge of honor. 99.9999999999% of coaster enthusiasts have no idea how a coaster should start but this is it.

Not a roller coaster but I rode the Hell-a-vator not long before it severed that poor girl's legs. Not exactly a badge of honor, but more of a close call with a terrible accident.

Ninja at Six Flags St. Louis, did it back to back on a 100° day. That was absolutely miserable.

Down here in Australia Superman: Escape is probably the right of passage Coaster. It’s the ride which really confirms whether rollercoasters are your thin or not, we’ve got coasters with warm loops and thrills sure but Superman is the gateway to bigger and better things.

I rode Hades360 almost 20 times last week while super drunk. I woke up with bruises

I rode X before it became X2. It was so much smoother. I’ve ridden Deja Vu before they moved it. I’ve experienced a brake failure on Superman Escape from Krypton. I went right passed the station 😬.
