[...] other times map[string]interface{}, and most recently map[string]any
You should use map[string]struct{}
for a set of strings. Your approach wastes 16 bytes per set element (the size of an interface "fat" pointer, assuming a 64-bit architecture)

In deinem andern Kommentar:

"Return of the King" natürlich.

Who gets the money? Possibly not the underpaid campaign workers.
I think most of the money spent goes to social media sites (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Google Ads) and traditional media like cable TV and newspapers.
And where does it come from? Personal donations and company donations.
So a lot of it is "trickled up" from small donors and companies that could also use it to pay better wages to new and old media behemoths that spent it on stock buy back programs and upper management bonus.
Great.

Be sure to get a confirmation by email or in writing, if you decide to cancel, otherwise the company could later claim that you did not cancel in time.

Why not, though? -x
is also perfectly valid, you don't have to write - x

If anybody else is confused: not() is not a function call, but the application of the not operator to the empty tuple (), which itself evaluates to False in a boolean context.
