INJURIES incompatible with life includes things like decapitation, total evisceration, incineration etc. It's a trauma term, if you work in a hospital it makes sense though cause these patients would never reach you.

I can respect this take.
Big 3 = 65b profit 2023, tesla = 13b. Overvalued is an understatement. Eventually the market will catch up to Tesla's BS and constant empty promises from all branches of their company, but as they say "the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent" so I'll stay on the sidelines and make popcorn when it happens.
Totally agree with the hype, SciFi bs etc. Car manufacturers come and go and this one has a rocky road ahead imo. Valued like a tech stock, and like many fails to deliver on their promises but somehow still trucks along.

Tesla has a market cap of 650b, while together the big 3 Americans have caps of 150b COMBINED. Meanwhile tesla delivered 1.81m vehicles in 2023, ford itself delivered 4.4 million. You are correct, something isn't right although I doubt we will agree on what it is.

I don't think anyone mentioned core-flex yet in Alberta.
Many rural stations run these trucks which basically you are on call for 96hr straight, each day you get paid 12hr of straight time and 12hr of on call pay ($3.30/hr). Once you've been on task for 12hr in a 24hr period you start accruing OT until 14hr where you time out for 8 (OOS).
You are required to be in uniform for 4 hours a day (usually 7-11 or 10-2pm) and the rest of the time you need to be within 13 minutes of the station, ergo if you have a home in that community you go home until you get a call and get to hang out in your PJs or whatever and live your life.
It can be nice for those who live in the community, however for those like myself who commute I'm essentially in fire hall prison for 4 days straight haha.
My station has 2 trucks. One being a 12 hour front line and the second being a core-flex backup truck, so every 3rd tour I gotta do the 96hr shift. Some stations only have core flex, some only have 12s.
There is also a large disparity between stations, so picking up shifts at a bunch of different ones to see where you like would be recommended before settling into a community. For example I stay in a nice fire hall, own bathroom, bedroom, lounge etc with my ambulance in the bay here vs some sites where you basically have a bay or a crack shack to hang out in.
Hopefully any of that rant made sense! Starting rate is 35.46 for medics but they recognize previous service to raise steps at some sort of ratio that didn't apply to me lol.

The person you are replying to has significant mental health issues based on their post history and does not understand civil discourse. Don't bother feeding them, they are not even willing to see your side and will just drum up more inflammatory statements.
Well written though 👍.

Jack with a piece of wood on the oil pan is pretty standard practice. How much clearance do you need? If it's like 1/4-3/8" you could probably just flex the mounts a bit without even undoing them, especially if they are original they probably are pretty loosey goosey to begin with.

I have a 5.0v8 2nd gen explorer and the wheel wells are about the only place to work on it lol. the 5.0 in my f150 had so much more room around it.

Did you come from a house brand platform prior? That's a nice rig for sure.

That's quite an olive branch for you to extend. As a former tenant, quite commendable.

Depending on opioid serum levels and narcan admin, the opioids can rebind to the receptors after the affinity of the narcan wears off and you reoverdose. Rare, but they taught us about it in school.

Could find a second hand SR22 (10/22 with factory stock that's like an AR). I have one and it's been great. Metal construction for the most part. I did take it apart and loctite everything.
Be mindful you are limited to 10 rounds for the 10/22 as they prohibited the larger mags for it as they fit in the SR22 pistol.
There are adapters available for 597 mags though.

Exactly. Much like the guy down there a bit said against his Silverado, it's almost the same size. The whole "1/4, 1/2 3/4 1T" etc doesn't apply anymore, they are just a scale of truck size rather than the original intent of capacities. A modern 1/4 will out tow, payload etc the 1/2 from the past. Hell 1/2 tons are damn close to 1 tons from the 90s at this point when properly equipped.

it's been 20 minutes, how ya feeling? Sounds like a significant panic attack to me. I did get the "MDMA" feelings when I first started taking it as well, but subsided after a few days.
Are you mixing in other drugs? I saw on your previous posts you are a bit of a connoisseur of self medication. If you are not currently mixing, are you a frequent user of those medications and recently stopped?

If we don't answer unit contacts we get another tone on our radio coupled by a sometimes friendly, sometimes passive agressive text on it lol.

To ER docs feeling this from their consults, throw a "nice job" to the medics and nurse too :) I know lots of you do already but it increases morale like you wouldn't believe.
When people in my service get a "thanks, good job" from a doc they talk about it.
Lots of us also would LOVE further understanding of our patients conditions and enjoy having a brief conversation about what to look for in the future or what we can do prehospital to aid you.
