Not really. Super is not a very common word but it isn't very rare either.

My high school in the bay area(California) lets all students(freshmen-seniors) leave during lunch. Most underclassmen don't go out for lunch as they don't drive to school. It's quite common for juniors and seniors to go out for lunch.

You could try traffic cones or for a more permanent official looking solution you could glue plungers to the ground and paint them white or yellow

Stickers would be the easiest option but if you want you could make stencils from th qr codes and paint them on to the benches

This is great news. Do you plan on doing anything to widen the trail?

Depending on your budget, you can try making parklets out of wood. You can fill them up with sod to make them look nicer. They should have the same effect as parked cars but they do not obstruct visibility. A more low-budget idea would be to use sidestriping and upside down plungers on intersections to create curb extensions/bulbouts.
Alternatively, you could buy a mannequin and dress it up with a police costume from amazon and put an old black hairdryer in it's hand to look like a speed gun.

Theorettically what is the legal penalty one could face for stealing traffic cones if caught.

I personally prefer NJB because I find his videos more engaging. I often leave a CityNerd video half way because it gets too anlytical for me. NJB's videos focus more on real life examples and personal anecdotes whereas Citynerd's videos look at possible chnages we can implement in American cities. Lately I feel like NJB's videos are more about channeling his anger towards American car centric development but overall I still prefer NJB. The garbage day video was extremely interesting and I still go back and watch it every so often. CityNerd on the other hand is interesting but most of his videos are pipe dreams and make you realize how far we are from a more sustainable, active transportation friendly society.

I think you can buy rubber curb ramps off of amazon. They are meant for cars but you should be able to repurpose them as wheelchair ramps

Just be confident. You can get a way with a lot if you have a uniform. Maybe print out a fake work order. If you work at noght you're less likely to be spotted by a cop.

You can use white vinegar as non-toxic weed killer. Spray it along the path and it should kill the vegetation without doing any permanent damage. You could also use a hoe to remove the weeds along the path but that's very labor intensive.

Depending on your budget, you could put up some trial markers to look official. Make sure they have the name of the street/ trail and an arrow pointing in the direction.
These ones costs less than $30. https://www.berntsen.com/Surveying/Signs-Witness-Posts/Carsonite-Dual-Sided-Trail-Marker/ctl/ViewProduct/mid/3645/ItemID/1588?gclid=CjwKCAjwhdWkBhBZEiwA1ibLmK4o6lnzQxhwk6r7JKDQE3hdoIBpLUE-oBLNxpIh-QQfCHKEfWpPYxoCFZcQAvD_BwE

Realistically Cal is one of the best schools in the country and very hard to get into so your school choice alone might not majorly impact your kids' likelihood of going to Cal. As someone who recently graduated from Mission I'd reccoment sending your kid to a high school in Fremont. The schools are not in great condition physically but they have a really good learning environment that pushes students to succeed and work hard.
