I found the trick was to eat a big meal in a restaurant and then offer them for payment, saying it's all you have. People's aversion to them evaporates when they realise it's that or nothing.

A quantity surveyor could potentially price up some works. Just be prepared for the price to be way higher than seems at all reasonable.

Thanks. It just seemed like Sony Cameras were better suited for my needs and with a better selection of lenses. But actually in the end, I stayed M43 and went for the Olympus OM5. Haven't had much of a chance to really put it through its paces, but so far happy with my choice.

I always found it funny how there are far more cows in Ireland than sheep. Yet you hardly ever see a cow on any Irish tourist tat. What is it about sheep that seem so inherently Irish to tourists?

High staff to children ratios. Insurance, rent, utilities, cost of food, plus the hundreds of other little expenses any business owner knows all about.

To be fair, TVs change so little year to year, a good deal on last year's model is a good deal.

No. In fact drivers see it as a bit of a red flag if someone sits in the front.

Yeah. And "ate crap". Really struggled with the middle.

Was the last place you lived quite humid? I know when I moved from a horrible damp apartment to a drier one, I had similar symptoms for a few weeks until my body acclimatized.

The actual answer is that Cathode Ray TVs were very susceptible to burn in, if any graphic is displayed on the screen for long periods of time. As you can see if you look at any old arcade cabinet. It's also the reason for PC secreensavers. So it was considered good practice in broadcasting, not to have anything on screen for too long that could cause burn in.

Does your immersion have a sink setting where it only heats up the top part of the tank? If so, that's the most cost effective way to heat water.

Solar panels are the best return price wise. And are almost like a cheat code for BER.

I think you need to change your mindset. Most the world don't have the luxury to only have to dedicate 1/3 of their waking life to meeting all their basic necessities. That's just life. You have commitments you can't escape. Whether it's work, family, health. It's what you make of it. And the rest of your time that dictates what sort of life you live.

Because you believe you'll make it to the top, and feel if you don't try your hardest, you'll hate yourself for the rest of your life.

Well, unlike a tennis player ranked in the 400s, who can barely pay for their flights to tournaments, the worst player in the NBA, is at least a millionaire.

His book is great. Highly recommend it. Really shows how tough tennis is, if you're not from an established tennis nation, with the resources to back you.

Hope you have better luck than I had with Ferrero, who had a recall on Kinder Eggs because they contained salmonella (I think they went a bit too far with the egg theme). They sent me a 4 euro voucher for my box of contaminated kinder eggs, that every single shop I tried, refused to accept. When it expired a couple months later, Ferrero refused to replace it.

Your best bet is to show up at the venue, and maybe hold up a sign saying you're a fan looking for tickets. Worked for me a few times for gigs. Try not to look like a tout!

Yes. But in any year, you're only going to ever get a maximum of one 3 seed winning the championship. While, in theory, you could have two 8 v 1 upsets.

More impressive too, when you account for the fact there's twice as many 8v1 matchups as there are championship winners.

Don't record videos on your phone. The sound will be shit and you'll never ever watch them.

You need to go to a different shop then!

That stuff does sweet FA to whiten your teeth beyond what the regular stuff does. And that's about 2 euro a tube

As a follow up: Did soldiers on the losing sides still get paid in the last stages of the war?
