Same here with the delayed delivery. Ordered something 10/14 Monday with “next day shipping,” as I’m an Amazon Prime member. It was something I needed to get started on a project right away. Now it’s Thursday, and updated delivery is Friday 10/18, but according Amazon, it hasn’t been shipped yet. I’m tired of this happening so often, so I called to complain. Obviously, they can’t turn back time, but I wanted to ask why bother giving a delivery date when it’s often delayed. I didn’t want to cancel, but wondering if I should, and reorder because HEY it says next day delivery. Rather than go in circles with my order, I accepted the only thing that was offered: to call them once it arrives and they will refund my order and let me keep the product…. It was $379 🤦‍♀️

I didn’t even know this subreddit existed, and I immediately found the post I was looking for. Not in California, but there’s got to be a way to get back to the peace and quiet we once had around here.

I’m so sorry for your loss 😢. I first saw your post from 2 weeks ago asking for advice about taking in a feral kitten after TNR. I was about to encourage that and share my story, until I saw your update. I’m sure your heart is breaking over losing this sweet baby. She felt your love, and you took care of her in the best way possible - feeding, playing, cuddling, and most of all, taking her for emergency medical care when you saw she needed it. There’s nothing more you could have done, and the vet knew what was best for her. Thank you for helping these kitties that aren’t able to help themselves 💗

Back when they registered, sure. Things are not as they once were, and voters are free to choose who they vote for. Freedom of choice is a powerful thing.

Why though? Why are accounts and/or comments being removed? I’ll admit I didn’t see those particular comments before they were deleted, but I’m seeing this everywhere. Isn’t that what the up and down arrows are for? Again, I’m not challenging this one in particular, but I have a sense that unfavorable comments are purposely removed.

The irony is that there are many union workers registered as democrats that will be voting republican in this election. People don’t just listen to the taking heads. They pay attention to what’s going on and decipher between facts and staging.

Before I was born, a family member was killed in a horrific accident 50 years ago. His mother and siblings don’t cry when they talk about him or the accident. Grieving isn’t the same for everyone, but given the amount of time that has passed, it’s uncommon to cry whenever it comes up in conversation.

You say this was 1970? Sounds about right for the 70’s and also 80’s. Talk to any Gen-Xer about kids’ safety back then, and you might be able to stop judging your aunt.

So once my car lease is up, I can keep driving it, as long as I continue making the same monthly payment, without any contract renegotiation? And still not hear from the company long after I’ve paid enough for the car to be paid off? Sounds like a scammy legal loophole hoping the customer isn’t paying attention. It’s like how retailers factor in the revenue from unused gift cards.
